I Married Mr. Right

This post is a few days late! Chad and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary Friday!  We really celebrated last weekend but, it was officially Friday! We decided we would really be celebrating our anniversary in Mexico in August with some of our favorite friends who are always fun to celebrate with! The story starts with our worlds colliding shortly after I graduated college and he was still finishing up. We were engaged eight months after officially meeting and married eight months later.  I knew I had met Mr. Right and looking back I had no clue how perfect he really was for me! Our love for each other has grown and blossomed so much.  I couldn't imagine getting along with or enjoying anyone else's time more than I do with Chad! We took full advantage of that first year of marriage by spending a lot of time just enjoying each other. We didn't have a lot of friends in the area so, we did everything together and loved it!  One day shy of our first anniversary we were surprised by finding out we were going to have a baby!  Baby Harry came in December and meshed perfectly into our little family!Harry, Chad and I had so much fun together. We spent three years exposing Harry to everything we could! We did a lot of traveling and lots of time laughing at just him! He was the center of our world!  October 2009 came and so did Miss Georgia Kelley! Our five years have been busy!Although most of our time is spent doing this:.
We cherish every moment we have one on one!  We love reading, walking, traveling, going to the movies, and talking over quiet dinners! These times are not as often as we would like but, they are valued when they are.  We do not like to shop, do yard work, or budget together! We do them sometimes together but, it isn't very much fun to one or the other:) I had to put that in there!  I truly believe that a blessing is that God is with us! It is not all the stuff we have or things we get to do that other people don't! It is that God is with us!  God has blessed our marriage by showing us how growing closer to Him can strengthen a family. He has showed us that depending on him fiscally and emotionally will be rewarded.  He has also blessed us through hard times and I strongly believe that He will bless us through all the hard times that are to come.
I am so thankful for my Mr. Right! He is the most patient man I know and I LOVE to be with him all the time!  I wish this post could be longer but, I am lucky to even get to it now because we have been super busy and I don't know if it is "blessing" or not!

New Life Celebration Sunday

Today we had Baby Blessing at our church!   I was sick when I realized that I didn't have the memory card in my little camera but, out friends came through.  I will post those soon. Georgia Kelley also went to bible class for the first time and thank goodness for cameras on phones! We had some extra time this morning and decided to take some family pictures.  This is another one of our favorite quilts. My grandmother made this one for me when I was like 12ish.  I love it!This is an attempt at using the self timer for a family pic!
Yes, I am wearing this dress again!  I haven't wore this dress to our church yet. I am retiring it from my blog now:)

"Not So Newly Wed Games"

So Chad and I hosted the "Not So Newly Wed " game with some of our friends!  It was a blast! I am still recovering from the ridiculous amout of laughing that went on!   We have been in a life group with this crew for over four years now!  We have grown really close and learned so much more about them last night! I had to weed through the questions and we still didn't do very good!  Chad and I got second to last! The funny thing is the couple who won had been married the least amount of time and the couple who lost had been married the longest(13 years)!!  Everyone brought a dish they served at their wedding and there was some good stuff!
No one left empty handed!  The winners won chocolates to celebrate and the losers went home with the Memory game and ear plugs(one of them was going to get an ear full)!   I am still laughing at some of the answers!  One of my favorites: Question "If you gave your wife $20 and told her to go spend it, what would she come back with?  Answer: "A $30 shirt"!   Another one was " What is one item your husband would like for you to eliminate from your wardrobe?" Answer: "Nursing bras"!  There were many more that had me bent over laughing!
I have a print out of the questions we used, so if you would like to host this game let me know!  It was a success!

Baby Bo and a Dean Easter

We finally got to meet our special and only nephew, Paul Bo Dean! He was named after my dad! Paul is a family name and Bo is what my dad is called by his friends and family.  Baby Bo is probably the cutest baby of all time! I mean that hair!Georgia Kelley was very intersted in him.Harry liked talking to him too!Bo Toes! We did the usual Dean tradition of dying eggs! We didn't do it at my grandmother and granddad's house this year because of plans changing for other family members.  We still have a good time with the immediate cousins! The girls and kids dyed eggs and the guys watched games..shocker!Why do we not learn about the dyed fingers on Easter??Uncle Paul is always good for wrestling!Easter Sunday!Chad matched the kids, but not on purpose! An attempt for a family picture...I don't know what I am doing!
It was a fun weekend but, Georgia Kelley came down with a slight fever:(
I think we will be going back very soon!
I will say we had a very hectic busy spring break and I didn't take pictures....so much regret!  I also didn't take pictures of the other three egg hunts Harry was involved in!  It is harder with a baby in my arms!  I do think Easter is my favorite holiday!  Next Sunday is our church's baby dedication. I have been helping with the Power Point and can't wait to be back at our home church!

Kojie Mother Daughter Tea

We went to Searcy to see Grann and to attend the Kojie Mother Daughter Tea with Emily! We loved it!  We had so much fun!Georgia Kelley was a hit! She was the only baby there!  I was kind of sad that there weren't very many girls there from my days at Harding!  Nicole and I worked at camp together and she is a sponser now!   I did get to do the Kojie Rumble and I admit I enjoyd doing it!

Spring Swing

Can we say yeah for SPRING WEATHER??The trips to the park have started and we are loving it!  Bring on the playdates at the park!

Easter with the Wares

Easter has been especially fun this year! One, I have a little girl to dress in sweet spring clothes, and two, Harry is eating up this whole egg hunt fiasco!  Harry and Georgia Kelley cuddled with Grandma!  She is probably one of the sweetest women I know!  Just pure precious! We spent the weekend hanging out with Chad's side of the family the weekend before Easter! Actually Chad and I went out Friday night and then Saturday we did the whole Easter thing at their house.  Mimi and Papa know how to put on a egg hunt!  Papa knows how to cook!  We always feast when it comes to Saturday nights at the Wares!   We went to church with them Sunday morning and Brooklyn was so excited to get get Harry a puzzle!  We loved celebrating the holiday with them!
