Shallow and Deep Resolutions

What did I do on New Years? I ordered pizza and buffalo wings and stayed at home all weekend by myself sick! I was miserably sick and the family went to Memaw's house! I just couldn't make the trip. I have been home all weekend alone! I watched three movies, read a book, studied, worked, and now that I am feeling better I may get some cleaning done.  I missed spending time with Memaw and Annie. I hate that we all couldn't be together this holiday.  Chad took the kids with Sandy and Harry and I have been getting the best videos all weekend! They seem to have fun without me...imagine that!

Who is to say what is important and what is not important in one's resolution. Some would say to make a resolution to be  skinnier is "shallow" and one would say that to be a "better person" is subjective. I am going to write my resolutions and then you can judge for yourself...this is a blog...everyone judges blogs. That should be a resolution...not to judge! HA!

1. To not be the fattest bridesmaid in my sister's wedding! This includes clean eating and more gym.
2. I feel like 1. interrupts my 2. I love spending time with my kids doing activities and adventures. The best time to do them is during the best gym time. I plan on figuring out how to seize the time I have with my kids and go to the gym daily.  Oh, how I love spending my time with Harry and Georgia Kelley.
3. To constantly pray and model that my kids be a light. That is really all I want. I just want my kids to be a light when they get big.  I am going to work on modelling that more. This may come with some pain. I say pain because I may have to cut some things to keep the darkness out.
4.  To cook more and eat out less.
5. To juggle work and home better.
6. To love on my husband more and make in the center of attention when he gets home.  He seems to make our kids the center of attention when he gets home.
7. To continue my in depth study of the OT. I took all my Bible classes in college on the NT and how to teach children the Bible. Now I am getting this strong foundation on the OT and it is making the NT so much more clear!  Although, the more I read the more ignorant I feel!
8. To spend at least thirty minutes a day studying God's word with Harry. I usually use Georgia Kelley's nap time to get things done and occasionally spend QT time with Harry teaching...I want to switch this!
9. Redecorate Harry's room.
10. Find a swimsuit I like!
There a few other things I wouldn't mind happening but I am going to count my blessings now!  We had a wonderful 2011 and I love this time in life.

Basketball and New Years Eve

Harry went to his first Razorback game a few weeks back with this dad, uncle, and Papa!  The Monster was woken from his beauty sleep and it took him a while to get out of it.  Although Chad did not take pictures he gave me the scoop on how Harry was and apparently Harry LOVED it!  He loved it as much as he does going to his Uncle Paul's basketball games!  That is where we went the Monday after Christmas.  Chad went on back to work and I stayed in Clarksville a little longer.  I love going to basketball games and so does the rest of my family! Here is some of the Dean crew!  Harry would not leave Mark alone!  He is the daddy of the twins Harry is impressed by!Emily came down and spent the whole week with us and we were sad when she left!  We had so much fun shopping and hanging out!  On New Year's Eve we laid low at our close friend's house.  We played games and laughed the whole night.  I told them we would be leaving super early and of course we didn't get home until 1am, just like the rest of the world.  Harry didn't go to bed until one either!!!  He enjoyed playing with Jake, and Emma Grace enjoyed playing with the adults!Georgia Kelley was an angel the whole time too!  I brag on her so much because, we didn't know babies could be this good!  I feel a bit guilty when I tell people she is pefect but, she really is so easy!  We are excited to see what 2010 has in store for our little family!  God has been good to us and we pray we grow closer and closer to Him!

Bringing in the New Year

We started out by having a New Year's Even lunch with our good buddies Rachel and McCoy at Market Place Express! Harry was obsessed with him, he really wanted to get in the car seat and hold him, he has become a little more active these days! As you can see he does not want to sit and be still, meal times are just not as fun as the use to be! McCoy on the other hand, is a perfect smiling angel! Chad and I were able to spend New Year's Even night with our friends Todd and Erin, we had a wonderful meal at Market Place (bet you can't guess my favorite restaurant)! They have a new item on their menu, Garlic Cheese Grits, mouth watering wonderful! We headed on to see The Great Debaters, a movie you must see! It is inspiring, informative, and emotional; I wanted to give it as standing ovation! We met Mimi at my new favorite hang out, Grandma's assisted living home. I love going there, I feel like a STAR! They treat me and Harry like celebrities, I may be spending a lot of 2008 getting a self esteem boost over at the nursing home! Harry loves going at meal time, this man took Harry for a ride on his scooter, afterwards he told us it was the most fun he had had in years, isn't that sweet?

Harry is into exploring there, the people there are fascinated by his squeaks!
He found new ornaments to pull down! He has become quite the character lately, throwing fits when he doesn't get what he wants, doing the same thing over and over after you repeatedly tell him no; we have a case of pretoddler on our hands.
Erin and Todd ended up coming over for lunch on New Year's Day! Amory came too! Harry loves visitors!
Chad did not enjoy watching the Hogs lose to your northern state, maybe next year with a new coach!
Harry wore his Ice Ice Baby shirt in honor of our icy January! MORE SNOW DAYS PLEASE!

New Years Day night Scott, Amy, and Hannah came over! We had lots of black eyed peas and played Nerz! I love that game but, I don't like to quit, I could have played longer, but I do know we have work tomorrow, this may explain my why I skipped my 8 o clock classes in college, too much fun at night!

Amy and Hannah were the big winners, it was my first time to play, I figure I can get a little practice in before our next match. Brooklyn came too, as smiley as ever! She is such a sweet girl, we love Brook!
