Christmas Celebrations

Santa came to our house a day early!
Harry wanted a lot of things this year but most of all he wanted a DS...I accidentally got him the 3DS because I am so out of the gaming world!  He loves it and we have set major rules for it. I heard that kids who play video games (obviously too much) are more likely to be addicted to pornography.  I also know there is a direct correlation with ADD and being a teacher, you know the kids who over do it on the video games. On the other hand, I want him to be tech savvy and I do not think they are the devil...obviously..we bought him one!  HA! He loved it along with a few other exciting toys and clothes!  He is really into spies, pirates, soccer, Legos!  He was showered with them all! I have even been playing with his Legos and Mario Cart 7 on the DS is so much fun!
Georgia Kelley asked Santa for a baby and Elmo book! Harry got her a baby with his own money and Santa brought her a fake cat and make up!

A make up artist in her future?
We spent Christmas Eve and day at my parent's house! We tried our best to recreate the traditions we had going to my grandmothers and for the most part..it worked.  The kids all hearing the reindeer prancing on the roof and jingle bells. They also saw sleigh lights through the window!

THey came out and Santa had brought them more presents!

Then we switched gifts with everyone!
Georgia Kelley was obsessed with her "sick" baby that Bobo picked out for her!

Georgia Kelley loved her scarf from Emmy!
Elmo dress from Paul and Tessa! She also got a cute Elmo shirt that she is obsessed with from Ashley!  I love it when people put thought and inquiry into gifts!  I been studying about the 3 wise men and how meaningful the gifts they got for Jesus were! I use to think it was odd they would give Mary such nice gifts, when she  would obviously want diapers or a nice blanket or even a gift card to a hotel! Now I realize how meaningful they are! I am sure everyone already knew that!
They were posing with the big gift from Emily to all of them!

It was really cute when all the girls wanted Emily to do their hair on Sunday morning! I was a bit bummed because she didn't have time to do mine too!

On our way home, we stopped to say hi to my grandparents! How cute are they!

Grandmother was not feeling well so they didn't give her big hugs!
We actually spent Christmas Eve Eve at the Wares and then did Christmas night at their house!  This gingerbread house was driving me NUTS!  Notice Georgia Kelley eating the roof!
My Mallory was sick...poor baby!  I look really sad for her huh?
They kids were so happy unwrapping their gifts!  So sweet!

My favorite thing is the "lefty righty" game. Sandy gets a whole bunch of gift cards and after we play the game, we switch! We left with 2 from Table Mesa, movies, and School Squared!  The School Squared is already spent and we are saving the other three for a date night!  Good times!

It was a wonderful Christmas! I love both of our families more and more each year!  We have so much fun together! I am really "sick" that I am not with them all in El Dorado because I am "sick".  I am sitting the couch with a big ole roll of toilet paper (half wadded on the floor)! I am drugged up but just miserable. I hope to make it up to Memaw really soon!

Seeing Santa

Tucker left Harry a note that said he needed to go see Santa! When Chad got home we jumped in the car and headed towards the mall! They were both so excited! Georgia Kelley said she was going to ask him for a "baby" and "elmo book"! Harry said he was going to ask him for a "DS" and an "I Spy shirt"!  We waited in line...
We watched other kids talk to Mr. Clause..

Georgia Kelley would not budge! She didn't want to have anything to do with Jolly ole' Saint Nick!  She was not crying...just screaming and holding on to Chad!
Harry and Santa had a long talk, Santa showed Harry his pictures and the discussed why there were so many "Santas" everywhere!  Santa said they were his helpers!  Harry told Santa he wanted all ninja gear and clothes! That was the first I had heard of it!
Georgia Kelley didn't mind taking the chocolate from Santa!
Oh! Harry talked to Santa about Tucker and Santa was very awkward! Harry picked up on it!  Next time, I will have to warn him!  HA!

Holiday Happenings Out of Order

This post is not in order...forgive me...blame it on the holiday chaos!  It may be chaos but, we are soaking it up!  We have stayed in our pajamas until we absolutely have to, we make whatever the kids want, we watch Christmas movies(Elmo especially), and we are playing with a lot a legos a lot of hours a day! Harry got Legos for her birthday and I end up putting them together because they are to hard for him.  I love it!  Here is GK at dance a couple of weeks ago!  It was cold and we had something right after, so we didn't put her in dance clothes!  She LOVES dance...if you couldn't tell from this blog!
I started wrapping in November and finished up last night! I love wrapping presents!  I especially love wrapping for my nieces!

Funny thing that Harry's buddy Maddox LOVES Golden Coral! We have never been! Tuesday night is family night and I must say..a fun family night it was!  There was a magician and the kids went nuts over the "chocolate waterfall"!  Harry is dying to go back!
I have been getting ready for Harry's Elf birthday party!  It will be our family only! I am having a lot of fun with this one because it is a family party! Our house is getting 'elfin' ready!
I have the joy of going to lunch with two of my favorite people quite often and Kathy and this girl, Laurie, had lunch last Thursday!  We had a ball! She is leaving for a beach vacay, so we got her a little treat to enjoy!  Isn't she the cutest!  Laurie and Kathy are my favs!
Georgia Kelley got invited to her first cookie exchange!  It was sooooo precious!  She had a blast and so did I!  The girl who hosted it is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met! I have enjoyed getting to know their little family!
Harry got to do whatever he wanted on his birthday!  For lunch he wanted shrimp!
We went ice skating with his cousin! More pics to come!
He had a hummus platter at Table Mesa with his grands and cousins!
He got to "drink like a pirate" with their cream sodas! Soo funny!
Tucker has made himself at home!
We skipped Harry's school program to join our life group and our "old" group for dinner Sunday night! These are some of the best people I know and I adore them!

Speaking of adore...I have had the gift of spending quite a bit of time with these two jewels!
Amy hosted a very festive cookie exchange and LRC party, where I won the big pot of $$!  Then Ashley hosted an ornament exchange full of smiles and yummo apps! These two are quite the hostesses!

Saturday night we did a progressive dinner with these three girls and their hubs!  We ate great food at two different restaurants and let the boys play hours of ping pong!  Chad was in HEAVEN....and so was I!  Good times!
I guess I can't post without a little pinterest inspired treats...

 Oh Tucker!
This was precious! Before I went to bed, I saw this on the counter! It says "sorry"! Harry had left it by some treats he left Tucker! I couldn't figure it out until I realized Harry had accidently knocked down Tucker early in the day!  He was writing him a note! So sweet! I have never seen him try to write "sorry"!
Speaking of Tucker...he painted the whole family's noses red while the cousins were here!  BTW, I have been hearing about all the "elf haters" and I just don't get it!  Tucker is so much fun!
 Making cookies...la de da!
Tomorrow we are making the last batch of bon bons of the year and I am planning on sitting my pajamas and eating bon bons all day!  Well I won't be able to get away with the whole day but, you get the picture!
