Harry in the Classroom
This will be my 5th year starting a new school year as the teacher. This is my 1st year to start a new school year with such a "great" little helper! I am suprisingly excited about the new school year. It is bittersweet. I cherish my time with Harry but, am eager to engulf in my passion for learning.
I have been very lucky to know some awesome girls who love my baby. They come to school and play with him while I get work done. My room is a mess in these pictures but, it has finally came together. I will have to put post pictures on the blog. I am sure Harry will be glad to pose in them.
It has become a family affair. Chad helped staple paper in those hard to reach places and Mom came to share ideas and take care of Harry. Harry has a whole new world to explore when he comes to my school. He has found many new teething toys, messes to make, more books to knock over, and of course he doesn't play with HIS toys that I brought.
I laugh because, he loves this ball, it has questions about books on it and I have decided that when I land on "Who is the main character of your story?" it will and forever be HARRY!
Poor kid is filthy after navigating under the desks and chairs; pulling up on racks and shelves. He is in for an adventure every time he comes to visit.

Harry's First Tantrum

Harry was not a happy baby when I closed the guest bedroom door he wanted to go in! The beginning of his fit was much worse than these pictures.
He put his head on the floor then banged on the door crying. I had 0 sympathy. No one told me these little fits started so early. It wasn't very long and opening another door stopped it pretty quick.

A Time of Celebration
We had a weekend of merriment and more unexpected milestones. Friday night Chad's sweet parents watched Harry while we went on a date and joined them at camp. I could do a whole post on how much we love church camp but, I will save that one for another day! Harry spent the entire day at Green Valley Bible Camp. Chad's dad worked out there all week and his family spends a lot of time there as well. Harry was in HEAVEN! He ate up the attention, other kids to watch, and of course getting close to nature! We enjoyed out time out there as well, we were inspired by Big Harry's insightful devo.
Saturday I had another day without Harry(not by choice, by chance). McCoy's baby shower. He was given some really neat gifts and lots of love! Mimi and I were so inspired we decided to go on a little shopping trip for Harry! Katie and I met up after the shower to do a little shopping and play with the Harry! I am not exaggerating, I wasn't expecting this, nor push this new milestone but, Harry took 3 steps with Katie! She let go and he took 3 steps to me! I had never tried! I was in pure shock! Harry's physical therapist sure is inspiring! Not only did Harry take 3 steps he climbed steps! Here is the proof! I do not keep up with those baby milestone books but, I once again was not expecting this one. Go Harry Go!

This is when we all got together at Kirk and Rachel's House! We did lots of visiting and catching up with the Fowlers, Millers, and special guests: Bullards! Harry was loving every minute. During one of his googoo ga ga songs, he may have said GiGi for Ginger(Rachel's mom)! He reached for Jerry, Rachel's dad! There was no doubt he is going to be super jealous when McCoy comes, Rachel and Kirk with another baby!!!!! We had a fine time, with friends, Tim's Pizza, and of course Harry's love for dogs!

I am Seeing a Personality Folks!
Harry has spent a lot of time with other babies in the past but, not in huge groups since he has become so actively mobile! It brought a huge peace to me watching him interact and in awe of all the other babies. He was the youngest in the mass chaos except for his little friend Taylor, who stayed close to her mommy. There were about 30 kiddos in the lot that our life group babysat on Saturday night and Harry soaked up everyone of them! We started off in the gym and he went full blast crawling all over the place, he would chase balls the whole time if we let him. He spent the last half of the night in a room crowded with 3 and under kids. Even though he was the youngest he held his ground. It is no surprise that toys and seats were taken from him, but I guess that is just how it goes! I do not think he will have any trouble at his child care this fall, if anything he will love the social interaction. He is definitely an extrovert.

Notice all of the goldfish everywhere! Those things dried tears quick! We vacuumed probably a thousand crushed goldfish. Harry wasn't afraid to join in on the phenomenon.
Harry has gotten where he gets so excited about different things. He gets giddy about certain people and things. He gets excited about grandparents, making the bed, baths, playing in the grass, the swimming pool, and chasing balls. There is video of him getting excited about a soccer ball. I think it is a toy he can't control, so it fascinates him.
He has also been doing a lot of dancing, it started when he began pulling up. He shakes his hips and bounces his knees. He loves to do it in church over the pew. He will sing at the same time a "Goo Goo Ga Ga" song. Look out BROADWAY!
Since he has started crawling he is very cuddly! We are LOVING it! I figure it is because he would get so frustrated he couldn't get to something that he did not feel content just sitting in our arms.
Chad and I are excited about our new find. I decided to not buy baby food and just make my own. I was buying organic, mashing my own bananas, and feeding him the DHA baby foods. It took Chad and I about 2 1/2 hours to cook and freeze about a month's worth of vegetables. It is fresher, has zero preservatives, cheaper(I am talking at least $50 a month cheaper), and in my personal opinion; easy! Email me if you would like to know how to do it, I got most of my info from a friend and a book she let me borrow. It has lists of foods a baby can and can not eat and at what times. Email me if you have recipes with meat in them, we aren't introducing meat until 9 months, but I would love to know any recipes you other moms have!
