Harryisms

Harry's school had a "fairy tale" day! He was suppose to dress up has his favorite fairy tale character without  wearing a Halloween costume.  I was hoping he would be the Big Bad Wolf and my friend Kim helped me with some great ideas! He on the other hand wanted to be Robin Hood!  This of course called for tights! He loved it so much he kept saying, "Thank you so much mommy!"  He was so grateful, which made me so grateful, and we were all grateful! 

 He has been saying some very insightful things lately! I need to write more of them down because I forget!  I don't think I wrote about him asking Chad if he loved his coworker.  Well, we met Chad at work and he was working with a girl.  Harry had never seen Chad with another woman in a setting like that! He got in the car and after they had been driving a bit he asked Chad if he loved that girl! Of course Chad told him that he worked with her and who he really loved:)

 He has me read David and Goliath every night on top of our nightly Bible story!  He loves that story! Speaking of God he has started praying for God to heal his booboos and low and behold he is so grateful the next day when they are healed! Such a great lesson!

 He is in such a precious sweet stage. He cuddles with me more than ever and tells me how much he loves me.  It is such a gift! 

 He is saving his money for that Lego set I talked about in the last post. I hate to break it to him but it is way expensive and will be a while before he has enough dough! 

 My charming little Robin Hood. I love spending time with him!  He is super fun to hang out with and truly makes me a better person by being his mommy! 

 Georgia Kelley LOVES Harry, just like every younger sibling! He loves her too and has become the most protective precious patient big brother! The ladies who work in the child care at the gym allows make comments about how sweet he is to her and how helpful he is with her!   I of course am overwhelmed with pride!  He also talks to her like she should mind him....as of right now she does:)

 We put him in his first basketball camp! I will say he did great at all the stations but, his behavior needs some adjusting!  He pouted when he wasn't ready to be done. While he was waiting, he started dancing, then he went an pinched this random man's cheeks who was squatted down with his babies! I got on to him and he was hurt...like he didn't know he did anything wrong!  He also played with a girl from his class that has DS. I feel like she had the okay to be playing while they should be participating...he doesn't! I was pretty annoyed at his behavior.  When Chad and I finally had a chance to talk about it, he made some great positive comments about this.  One: We can work on his attitude....he is only four, Two: He is so friendly, Three: At least he wasn't being a follower....  I usually look at the positive side of things in this marriage but, Chad brought it all to light..go figure it is about basketball!

So Tutu is Georgia Kelley's favorite friend!! She loves him like Harry loved Shaggy! We lost him out of thin air!! Only to find him 2 days later in the road in front of our house!! He was wet and dirty from rain!! So Velveteen Rabbity!!


She couldn't stand him being cleaned up!!!


-I am very blessed to get a night out ever so often with my darling girlfriends! I will sacrifice to get this time!! Us four love our Table Mesa dinner and secret spot on the square where we talk til midnight!!





Last week we went to the park as much as possible! In one walk we hit up two parks!! First in our neighbood!


Then we met our friends at the little town park!!





Harry begs me to take him to the library! It was nice to go when irbid quiet!

I QUIT

So last weekend I had this revelation that I need to quit five things!  I am on a six week quit from a few things and I am going strong....this is only the second week!  The first being sugar! It is so embarrassing to admit that I would eat croissant rolled up with Nutella at night....like 4-6 of them!  Who does that? I also baked cookies almost every night or brownies! It was out of hand. I was eating like I was pregnant!  Gross!  So I have quit desserts....for the time being!

 I also quit excuses to NOT go to the gym! I have never been in shape and I have decided to put the excuses and friendly meetings aside to commit to going to the gym five days a week.  Right now I am doing spin on MWF and yoga on TT.  I have always enjoyed yoga but, spin is somewhat new to me. I was doing it hard core before I found out I was pregnant with Harry...so like five years ago!  Anyway, I seriously think I am going to pass out during class! I also insisted that I was having a heart attack yesterday!  It is a great challenge!  We will see how it goes!

 I also quit Facebook. I quit getting on it a while back before my quitting spree!  It just bugged me and I it was so easy to access with my phone...it is also embarrassing how much I was on it! I am keeping it active because I did have to get on to message a few people about some things but overall....I am done reading statuses and writing them.  Maybe I will spill the beans on what put me over the edge!  I have actually decided to just read the Bible when I want to get on. I was doing that before too. For every status I would read I would go to the Bible app and read a verse.  I believe God's word is benefiting me more than statuses and events.

 Another embarrassing thing I do is bite my nails. I have done this since I was three!  Gross I know, but I don't gnaw at them. Chad didn't even know I bit them until I told him a year or so ago!  It always bothered my GG but, never me.  We will se how this goes! Once again, when I start to pick at them or bite them, I start giving thanks to God. 

I don't know what started my movement to quit. It is all mental but, so far so good! Here's to my six week program!

So I have been in a funk and my peeps are picking up on it. I believe it is a spiritual battle sprinkled with death and my nephew in the hospital. I really can't complain. I know the blessings are so much bigger. I should be so happy My friend Holly surprised me by picking me and the kids up today. She dropped me off at a salon with a pedicure and manicure!! Who does that?? Well she does and we are all grateful for her friendship. The kids loved hanging out with her.


I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the hour and half of quietness and underserving pampering.


We did a candygram for Chad yesterday. It happened to be the day I quit sugar...

Today is going to be great too. I am waiting for yoga to begin and then I am getting ready for a lunch date with the hubs! I also get to shop at SAMs today!! I am getting old!
