I decided to take the challenge of no processed foods after my sister in law posted it on Facebook. I have been wanting to do this for health reasons. It is so hard! Finding foods that don't have ingredients that were created in a laboratory is almost impossible, and don't even get me started on the cost! A few stables in our house are pancakes, bread, Ranch, and lunch meat! I made these pancakes and they LOVED them! The best part was giving them REAL maple syrup and how little they needed because of the flavor!
They helped make them!
ALL GONE!
I have also made roast with veggies (Chad's favorite), fish tacos, and today tried breakfast burritos! We are really bad about running through the Sonic drive thru for a jr breakfast burrito! I took a hit and WIN....well for Harry!
Georgia Kelley does not like to eat anything wrapped or hidden(like sandwiches)! I don't get it! She wasn't a fan! She stuck with the fruit! Harry and I devoured them! We also love these truffles! I have posted about them before, but they are worth a repeat!
I have been taking pictures and reading labels....annoying I know but, insightful! These are both whole wheat tortillas! Mission from Wal-Mart on the R and Whole Food store on the L! Look at that ingredient list! Harry likes them both!
I like the Ezekiel ones! They are getting there! They do love the Ezekiel bread from the Whole Foods bakery!
I haven't had Diet Coke since the 30th of Sept but, I took the kids to War Eagle today and failed! I totally justified it that I was tired and I wanted to celebrate Emily's birthday! We got pecan cobbler(from scratch....no process except sugar), no it is bad...no on the list of yes foods and ice cream! The Diet Coke made it taste better too! I am back on the saddle! I am digging in garbage at friend's houses getting labels...hopefully I will get smarter! The things I am learning are really interesting! I haves some great help from my pal Kim B who started this two years ago!
To be continued...
