Harry got a "big boy" bicycle this weekend! As if he needed another riding toy; I got the bike and helmet for $15 at a consignment sale. I am a sucker for riding toys....strange! I got it for him on Thursday and he was so excited he wore the helmet home! He put it on himself.

Drivers Beware
I have been super motivated to post more lately, can you tell? I get blogger burn out quite a bit. I hope I can keep this going!

He jumped on and had a few problems getting the peddles going. That same night he was headed to Mimi and Papa's house for a visit. He wanted to take his bike and lucky for me Tyler and Papa taught him how to ride efficiently! He is a master now, with training wheels of course!
These are pictures of him just starting out! His helmet was a bit big. When Chad got home he worked out all the kinks! I think Harry was more excited to show Chad than riding! Chad was out of town to see the first independent rides.
This picture is my favorite. Harry came in while he and Chad were outside and told me he had to have his baseball helmet. He was acting like it was life or death. He put it on and told me that was how he was going to ride his bike! When I tried to take pictures he whined, "I don't want to say cheese anymore!" He hates getting his picture made! Isn't that annoying!

Carrying Burdens, New Friends, and Poopo on the Potty
There was a man, named Malcolm. He had 2 beautiful daughters, Kathrine and Emma; a wife who everyone admired and was constantly doting on all of them. He would come each lunch at school with both of his daughters weekly, pick them up from school, he even walked his oldest child to kindergarten every day to make sure she was okay. He was a cowboy, and good at it! He was playful and adored his family and his friends. He loved Harry. He teased Harry in church 2 weeks ago, he was a very good man. He came to every event his girls were at, had a passion for christian education and the Morrilton Children's Shelter. He would do anything for his friends, even if it meant sacrifice. This man, Malcolm Forrest Howell, died last Saturday. The world was impacted by his goodness, by the overwhelming amount of Christ that flew out of him. He leaves, a widow, a 12 year old, a 8 year old and adoring family and friends. I would say I was close acquaintance with Malcolm and a friend to his 3 girls. He was at my school with his daughter often, and he gave Harry a lot of love at church. I am morning, not because he died, not because it hit home, but because my friends are devastated. They had a husband and father that could stand up against any all star parent and have lost him at the prime age of 43. He was killed in a car accident in OK the day before his 17th anniversary with his wife. She had already bought and written in the card. The story is heart breaking and awfully sad. I can not tell you enough how sad I have been for the Howell and Carter family. I truly understand the meaning of "carry one another's burdens".
I have also seen that with my friends who have been worried about my "over doing it"! What a blessing to have friends who pray for you and encourage you to become closer to your Father. That is another example of carrying others burdens.
I made new friends 2 days ago! My neighbors, are from Columbia, actually Miami! She is a woman lives with her mother and son of 7. Her husband is trying to sell their home in Miami, they are absolutely wonderful! Edilma(the grandmother) is so good with Harry. She plays with him and has offered to clean my house in exchange for tutoring Daniel(3rd grader). Harry and I had dinner with them tonight, I was inspired by their stories. I have never wanted to speak Spanish so bad! They are very educated and just plain precious! I feel silly for never pursing this friendship before! I was blessed this week by Ruth, Daniel, and Edlima.
On another note, Harry pooped and peed on the potty! He has been fascinated with the potty, it must be a thing at school he is seeing. Whatever, but I am not going hard core potty training until I know it will be a quick transition....I am totally cool with diapers!
Harry is loving school, more than ever! He is talking like crazy and the paci is becoming a thing of the past...okay, not completly but they don't give it to him! Today I heard him say "Bye bye Grace" then blew a kiss!

Chuck E Chees P[lease
We took our first "vacation" to Chuck E Cheese, we really didn't think Harry would enjoy it but, boy he was in small town Disney World. We thought we would go for kicks with the Matherly Clan. Chad and I love Chuck E pizza!
Watching the balls "pop" was too fun!
Harry spent most of his time going down this slide head first, I am pretty sure he did this at least 2 dozen times!

Harry saw his dr. there! He showed off for her of course.

Harry's First Tantrum

Harry was not a happy baby when I closed the guest bedroom door he wanted to go in! The beginning of his fit was much worse than these pictures.
He put his head on the floor then banged on the door crying. I had 0 sympathy. No one told me these little fits started so early. It wasn't very long and opening another door stopped it pretty quick.

"I'm glad you came to bible class,
I'm glad you came to bible class to sing and play and learn!"

I didn't get to post this on the last post but, Harry went to bible class for the very first time in El Dorado! Our home church is a bit overcrowded with babies, I am not complaining. I have enjoyed keeping Harry with me in class. He was getting a bit too loud for Memaw's class so Harry and I decided to stroll over to the nursery. I wasn't going to but, the teacher was so nice I had to put him in the chair. He was loving it! I can not tell you how much pride this teacher(me) had when my son eagerly watched and listened to the teacher! He had his eyes wide and his hands out on the table as if he was saying "This is so fun, what are you going to bring out next???" The little boy beside him is 5 days younger than Harry. The little girl on the far right is his twin. Harry had fun grabbing his ear, that little boy in return spit up on Harry's hand. He loved his new friends and the teacher. I felt so much guilt that I had not let him experience the fun in bible class! It was by far my very favorite part of the trip. I love having all of these first with Harry, it is so much fun being his mom!

He SMILES

We now know who can make Harry smile! Tonight Chad took Harrison after our friends, Brandie and Johnathen Reynolds, brought over this dynamic meal. I quickly go to the computer, for the first time today, and Chad yells "QUICK GET OVER HERE" and there he is smiling constantly at Chad who is singing "You're beautiful, you're beautiful it's true". Harry kept grinning so I ran and grabbed the camera put in the memory card...that took me YEARS to find, and was able to only get one good picture! We hope this is a sign he is a happy baby....I can't wait for many more firsts!
