Last Day as an 8 Month Old

"My dad plays FANTASY Football" this sums up our Saturdays since football season has started! Our "fantasy" athlete will be in front of a TV until the end of March (madness)! I guess golf takes into kick there and then we are back to football. I wonder if Harry will inherit this obsession, or will he love to read with his mommy?? I know...I know!
We did, on the other hand get to watch the AR vs AL game at Mimi and Papa's house! Happy Birthday Papa!!! What a yummy meal you cooked up on YOUR birthday. It was also a treat to have the Bashems and 1/2 of the Allen clan as well, to celebrate with! The game was a major bummer as Harrison would say! I wouldn't call myself a BIG sports fanatic by any means, but the last few minutes of that game stressed me out! Poor Hogs! Quick smart remark by this AR girl.....if we were on our field we would have totally smoked them!!! Lauren, I know you do not like that comment, I like their fans though...
Harry got to have a photo shoot with Cousin Brooklyn! Don't they take good pics together??

Harry loves this HUGE bear, he likes to tackle it! It is the funniest thing. He also loved on Grandma! He even walked to her!
Harry is showing Brooklyn how to find fun cabinets to explore! Mimi has a good one full of plastic chew toys!

I will be 9 months tomorrow, can you believe it!

While I Was Blogging

As you can see we did not wake him last night to change him into PJs. What's the point!
He is so curious! I didn't even realize he had pulled everything out of that cabinet!

Harry and the Hicks

We had a enjoyable night with the Hick's last night! Harry was thoroughly entertained by Baby Lindsey(not a baby anymore) and Harrison! I think Lindsey thought Harry was a real life baby doll that she could give lovin' too! Harry thinks Harrison is a comedian!
Harrison and I not only got to throw our food but, we painted wild fire breathing dragons! Harrison and "Mrs. Amanda" always have fun when we are together!

If you can't tell by the pictures, Harry had a adventerous time exploring their toy drawer in their kitchen. This gave the adults plenty of time to catch up and talk!

Thanks, Matt, Holly, Harrison, and Lindsey for having us over, we were actually invited this time! We love our Hicks Family!

Harry vs. Ear Infections

We took Harry to the doctor this Sat. morning only because his nose has been runny for a week and his teacher said he wasn't himself on Friday. Boy, did we feel bad when he said he has double ear infections. He is handling them well, not too fussy just, more sleepy and cuddly. I knew it was bound to happen once he stared day care. I was hoping I would get ot stay home with him on Monday but, the doctor said he would be just fine going back to his normal routine. I am in high hopes he will feel better an clear up soon! We are going to take advantage of this Saturday and just lounge around the house.

Count Harrison

We all think it is a hoot that Harry's top teeth came in like this! His other teeth are coming in now, so no vampire costume for Halloween! .

Olivia's Birthday Party

It was a party fit for a princess, Princess Olivia that is! Happy Birthday Olivia! Thanks for a fun party!
Dezi drove me around in this for probably a total of an hour! I'm so cool I only needed to steer with one hand! Mac was the best driver! He went really fast!
I was able to chill out with the Dean Team when I got tired!

Caroline sure did enjoy her little truck! Coco(3rd name, but it has stuck, Olivia started calling her this) was making Caroline laugh and laugh!
I took this tunnel home with me! I don't look like I am having fun but, let me tell you, I love crawling through this thing!
I explored many toys! I have many new ideas! I have decided that there are toys everywhere I go; at home, Mimi and Papa's house, Bobo and Coco's house, Wal-Mart, and even at church!!!
I especially had a good time chasing balloons! I just couldn't quite keep a grip on them!

Olivia played with me a whole lot at Bobo and Coco's house! She was a hoot!

Harry and Mommy

Harry's first week of "day care" went better than expected. There are only 4 babies in his class until mid Oct. with 3 adults! He really loves it. I went to see him at lunch on Friday and while I was holding him I said "I won't come during the day when he starts crying for me." As soon as I sat him down he had his first "mommy don't leave me" meltdown. It was just enough to make to rest of my day last too long. I miss him so much during the day but, love my students and my subject areas. I love where Harry is at during the day and who he is with but, still question our decision. I have been told by much the much wiser than I friends that I should pray for a peace. I am just scared if I pray for it and not get it, then God is telling me I made the wrong decision; I would rather be wondering than have the guilt. I guess that is a immature statement, do you get what I am saying??? To be continued on that!
Harry can stand on his own at any time, pivot on his own, and take 5 steps all on his own! He can give low fives, high fives, and wet kisses. He takes 2 hour naps at daycare and at home and is sleeping okay at night. Harry seems to love the other babies in his class and his teachers are good at giving me sweet stories about his day. We are enjoying our 3 day weekend here in Clarksville with my parents. Olivia's birthday party is tomorrow! We are so sad we had to miss Miss Adalie's birthday party today. We hope she had a ONEderful party!

This picture was taken before school on Thursday (he peed on the teacher soon after this was taken).

Last weekends photo shoot!

Oh, How the Weekends Fly By

Friday night I took Harry to meet his teachers. Chad and I attended the parent's information meeting on Thursday and were very impressed with the amount of love that his program gives. Harry had a ball playing with all of his new classmates. Two of the kids in his class are only there for 5 hours since it is a MDO program but, there are 3 kids who are with him everyday all day long. I am very blessed to personally know their parents and am pumped he will be buddies with their little ones. Harry is not the oldest but, probably the most active of the 6, hopefully it won't be long before they are racing around with him.
After a good night of first impressions we came home and had family play time. He was so giddy! By the way, I did not have him in any of the clothes shown or lack of for his open house! He looked very handsome and was by far the cutest boy! There is a Harrison in his class, what are the odds.
Saturday we went shopping for birthday presents, Harry has 2 friends and one cousin who have a birthdays in the next week! While we were out we got Harry's portraits made in Papa Harry's outfit! Memaw made this little red outfit and shirt and it was in mint condition! Harry did the most of the smiling in Papa's outfit! I think that Papa may have been a little chubbier and a bit shorter than Harry at his age! These are pictures of the pictures we purchased! The girl taking the pictures has watched Harry grow so she took a ton of shots. Hopefully they will be online soon and I can show off the other shots.

We had to buy this picture because I think it will be the last time he can take a shot like this, it is so babyish! He was crazy about those blocks!
Saturday night we went to eat at a neet place with some friends from church. It is called Mont Ne, sounds fancy but it was not, just fried chicken with southern sides! Tonight we will be preparing for Harry's first day of school tomorrow! Daddy will be doing the drop off!
I will be sure to give a thorough update on every word the teacher said about Harry!
