Harry Milestone

No TRAINING WHEELS!  Harry has been begging Chad to take his training wheels off and Chad finally did Tuesday night! I was too busy talking to my neighbor friends to really pay attention. I thought it would take a good week for him to get going....I was wrong! He was out there for maybe 30 minutes and he was on the road by himself!  I was so shocked I didn't even get pictures! We have lots of videos!  He is a natural! We spent all afternoon Wednesday at the park letting him get more practice in!  He is a natural and probably mostly because he was self motivated. Yes, we make him wear a helmet:)

Truffles and Rainbows

So, Harry and I have been talking about how we need to reach out to the widows because the Bible tells us to.  He has kind of been obsessed with it and so I asked him what he wanted to do for them.  His first response was to give them toys.  After a bit of manipulating he decided on making them truffles and rainbows.  He is good at making both! We are calling it his own little ministry.
These things are just too good to be so healthy.  I got the recipe from my friend Kim.  They are raw, no sugar added goodness!

Georiga Kelley wanted to paint some!
We put the truffles in little bags(no pic) with bows and wrote them notes on the rainbow pictures. Ms. Aileen was our first stop!  We gave her a plant too..she is extra special to us.  Harry kept asking why she had three beds if she was lonely...I am kind of hoping she didn't hear that last part.  She was embarrassed for being in her pjs, and I said, "I would be in mine too if Harry would let me stay home." Later in the car he said, "Of course I would let you wear your pajamas all day."  I thought it was sweet he waited to tell me that comment.  Great manners these days!
Our next trip was to a local nursing home, we had a list and we were prepared to visit four women there. Well, come to find out all four were either dead or the church list was wrong because they didn't live there.  Here are the kids hanging out at the nurses station.  We tried. We have another group to visit next week.  We will see if it works out. Georgia Kelley is trying to get the straw in her mouth...not crying.

Harryisms

Harry's school had a "fairy tale" day! He was suppose to dress up has his favorite fairy tale character without  wearing a Halloween costume.  I was hoping he would be the Big Bad Wolf and my friend Kim helped me with some great ideas! He on the other hand wanted to be Robin Hood!  This of course called for tights! He loved it so much he kept saying, "Thank you so much mommy!"  He was so grateful, which made me so grateful, and we were all grateful!

He has been saying some very insightful things lately! I need to write more of them down because I forget!  I don't think I wrote about him asking Chad if he loved his coworker.  Well, we met Chad at work and he was working with a girl.  Harry had never seen Chad with another woman in a setting like that! He got in the car and after they had been driving a bit he asked Chad if he loved that girl! Of course Chad told him that he worked with her and who he really loved:)
He has me read David and Goliath every night on top of our nightly Bible story!  He loves that story! Speaking of God he has started praying for God to heal his booboos and low and behold he is so grateful the next day when they are healed! Such a great lesson!
He is in such a precious sweet stage. He cuddles with me more than ever and tells me how much he loves me.  It is such a gift!
He is saving his money for that Lego set I talked about in the last post. I hate to break it to him but it is way expensive and will be a while before he has enough dough!
My charming little Robin Hood. I love spending time with him!  He is super fun to hang out with and truly makes me a better person by being his mommy!
Georgia Kelley LOVES Harry, just like every younger sibling! He loves her too and has become the most protective precious patient big brother! The ladies who work in the child care at the gym allows make comments about how sweet he is to her and how helpful he is with her!   I of course am overwhelmed with pride!  He also talks to her like she should mind him....as of right now she does:)
We put him in his first basketball camp! I will say he did great at all the stations but, his behavior needs some adjusting!  He pouted when he wasn't ready to be done. While he was waiting, he started dancing, then he went an pinched this random man's cheeks who was squatted down with his babies! I got on to him and he was hurt...like he didn't know he did anything wrong!  He also played with a girl from his class that has DS. I feel like she had the okay to be playing while they should be participating...he doesn't! I was pretty annoyed at his behavior.  When Chad and I finally had a chance to talk about it, he made some great positive comments about this.  One: We can work on his attitude....he is only four, Two: He is so friendly, Three: At least he wasn't being a follower....  I usually look at the positive side of things in this marriage but, Chad brought it all to light..go figure it is about basketball!
 Dribble
 Defense
Rebound

 Shoot
Oh and notice the hair cut! He looks so much like Georgia Kelley!  We won't be going that short again!

Harry's First Singing Gig

Harry did a great job at his Christmas program for school!  He loved the song "10 Angels in the Bed"; althought it is suppose to be "band"!

It is amazing how much pride a parent has when their child is on stage! I bet every parent thought their child was the most perfect thing; we sure did!

Soccer Days

Harry just finished his first year playing soccer as a three year old.  My friend Melissa took the first two pictures...sooo cute!

Georgia Kelley made a great sideline cheerleader.  Harry played hard with more aggression than I have ever seen! Chad was the coach and it worked great for Harry. We had a lot of fun watching him play his first organized sport! I will admit there were a few whiney moments at the beginning but, he got over them....Harry that is!

Mimi and Papa were the best support! They came to almost every game!  Harry LOVED them there and so did Georgia Kelley! I admit I loved their company too! They are super cool grands! It was a great year on the soccer fields and we will back in the spring!

What? Huh?

A bit shocked, a bit disappointed, a bit excited, and a bit numb.
Harry has said "what" for the last 4 or so months and it has been driving me crazy.  Chad and I have just assumed he just doesn't pay attention or it is habit.  Two weeks ago I just out of the blue(AKA God) thought I may get his ears checked just in case there could be a problem.  I really thought I would go into the CCD and they would tell me I just had a three year old boy who is too involved in other things and doesn't want to listen to his mama!  Well, I was wrong!  Dr. Black told me that his left ear has so much fluid that iti s like he hears underwater.  He said Harry has a significant amount of hearing loss in his left ear and some in is right ear.  I would never had know if I didn't just get this hunch from God to have him get a test. Dr. Black also tested Harry and said he has learned to read lips.  Chad told me that a few days ago and I did not believe him!  I just thought it was normal.  I also look back and notice other things, like how Harry sits when I read to him.  He has his ear right to my mouth looking out.  God is good, all Harry has to do is go through a little procedure of getting tubes and then they are going to take out his adenoids.  We have been down this road before and I feel so blessed to know that he can be free from hearing loss in a little over a week!  I think I am just more annoyed at myself for not noticing this sooner.

"I'm Just Wild About Harry" even at Three

If you started with us from the beginning you will know that is Harry's them song...a must download!
I wanted to get pictures of him today but, we never got around to it in this zoo!  Yes, my house was a zoo and we were loving it!  Let's talk Harry!

We have a lot of things that make Harry unique to us.  One would be the way he reacts in new situations. Lately he walks in a room full of people with a grouch face on...but he is smiling inside.
He told me he likes to "yah huh errrr  roarrr!!"  all the time. He does huff, growl and pretend he is the karate kid all the time! He is seriously a wild child but, he also loves to cuddle with me.  He is a cuddler!  I love that about him.  He talks to us like he knows what is going on and I guess that is just a sign of maturity.

Harry is at the peak of learning how to treat others and how to react to situations.  He is watching others a bit more and I can tell he thinks about his decisions so much more.  He loves to  read now...finally!  He enjoys learning about adventure stories.  Does he see the purpose in learning letters...no and does not care.  I don't really care.   Harry is wild about school, popcicles, candy, sandwiches, chips, carrots with ranch, grandparents, cousins, paypay, owen, jake, lindsey, Santa, cars, his tractor, praise, playgrounds, parks, puppies, animals in general, school buses, motorcycles, playing bad guys, guns, horses, helmets, telling me what Georgia kelley is doing, wrestling with daddy, monsters, soccer, football, basketball, jumping on the bed:(, books, being outside, paci, Shaggy, blankets, underwear, and not wearing jeans:(.

I love my world with Harry.  I tell him every day how much I love being his mommy.  I am so thankful to be Harry's mommy. I am just wild about Harry.

These are the posts that are 100% made for Harry's leisure reading one day.
