Georgia Kelley @ Eight Months

Our little two teeth baby has hit some big milestones in the last month! She is still as smiley as they come and we are still smitten over her!I planned this big trip to Bogle Park to take her pictures and it ended up taking five minutes...she would just smile anywhere I put her! She is officially crawling and really has been for a couple of weeks! As soon as she started crawling, she started pulling up!She is also doing a better job at eating! She eats well but, not like Harry did. She is not afraid of getting messy!I have mentioned before how she and Harry get in bed with us early in the morning and I had to take a picture! She loves her brother more than any person or thing on this planet! I guess that is how it is suppose to be!
We love our little Georgia Kelley and all her little milestones!

The Last of the Beach

Here is the crew we went with, Chad's entire family!  It was one busy vacation! Here are more pictures of our family....because we so desperately need them;)We couldn't get enough pictures of the cousins together! And after the pictures Georgia Kelley attempted to crawl...she is on the verge!
The beach was not the most relaxing trip but, we had a great time watching our kids experience the ocean and spend quality time with the family. Not having any tar balls or oil was also a great gift!

Chad drove through the night to get us back Saturday morning.  He insisted and would not let me drive any!  It was nice getting home Saturday morning.  Chad slept when we got back and I took the kids to stock our house with food!  We were so excited to make it to Bentonville's Art Walk at the Farmer's Market! We are not ready to spend the rest of our Saturday relaxing with a few Star Wars movies and a gaucamole salad!

Harry Grows

Do you have at Tonka truck? If you do not, you HAVE to invest in one! This is my very favorite toy! You can push it as hard as you want and it will not mess up the walls. It makes fun noises when it crashes too! I get sad when Harry gets bored with it! I push it hard and Harry runs and gets it for me! Our camera went dead after this last shot! Harry, like every boy, loves the outdoors. I took him to the park on Friday and after an hour of just walking around I decided it was time to go; Harry threw a huge fit! I get bored if I am outside by myself with Harry. I know that is awful but, I can throw a ball and watch him run around for so long. I have a feeling I better just get use to it! Here are a few shots before life group tonight.

Harry is becoming more independent. It seems like we hold his hand and let him walk more than we carry him. I will be honest and say I like having a baby on my hip more than a big boy trying to let go of my hand. I am going to start praying that I take these stages gracefully and enjoy how Harry is now and not what he use to be! I will say Harry is a very cool kid! I can't help but appreciate the cute funny personality he seems to have; although Harry does have his moments!

Harry has hit a stage I am not prepared for! He acts like a toddler! I don't really think a 1 year old is necessarily a toddler but, maybe what I think is wrong! We went to Abuelo's with the Millers and he would not sit down, he wanted to be on the floor moving and making noises at all times! I admit I am not as patient Chad is; thank goodness I have him! He is better about dealing with Harry's behavior in public. The 2nd incident that has shown me the things to come was in worship service this morning. He insisted on yelling and throwing everything on the floor and hitting me with his toys! The last thing that I don't really mind as much is the big mess he made in my classroom today. He chewed up a magic marker and got it all over the floor! I really don't care that much, it is nontoxic and comes off the floors easily. I just need to be watching him more often and lighten up; I feel like when we are in public people are super annoyed. Any advice into going into this stage, I don't' think he understands many punishments and he gets his feelings hurt if we scold him. I admit I am not a big fan of spanking Harry yet. I am reading the most amazing book that helps you to establish biblical values into your children; Harry has a few more months before he can understand the tactics to doing that. Anyway, advice is welcomed!!

Harry at One

I have not had the time or urge to sit down and write about Prince Harry's personality until now! I need Chad to help me because I always forget! Since I am around a plethora of babies his age it is easier for me to decipher what all babies do and what is unique to Harry.

Jobs Harry will be good at if he stays the way he is at one:

  • Stuntman: he loves to jump back and forth on the couch and even throw his body over it (luckily he has been caught); he gets hurt and doesn't stay upset or even get upset at all; he wants to stand on anything that is higher than the floor (presents, stools, baskets, toys, etc..); he loves to climb and will make a quick break if you don't pay close attention; he is not afraid to go where he has never been before or anyone for that matter; he likes to try to climb out of his stroller; pull anything that dangles (clothes for store racks, ornaments, etc: he has started reaching for door knobs (he does not like for you to shut the door from outside).

  • Musician: he wants to carry his drum sticks with him EVERYWHERE; he loves to dance (the video from one of the previous posts will prove that) and will usually do it when you sing, play music or simply cheer him on; music on any toy will get him dancing or smiling; his guitars have always been the most popular toy in the house; if he is sick of the car seat, I can put the Little Tykes drum(not so little)in his lap and he is good the rest of the way home; everything is a maraca; everything is a drum; he still will calm down from being tired when I sing to him (that in its self is a miracle, i do not sing well at all); Chad has a great singing voice and is pretty good at the guitar, Harry LOVES this; the musical gene must have come from the Ware side!

  • Wal-Mart Greeter: Harry enjoys going to Wal-Mart and most of the time cruising in the cart, but he likes to be looking the direction we are moving. He enjoys smiling at people we walk by and loves trying to grab items off the isle!

  • Hair Stylist: Harry has loved hair and texture since he was tiny. Heather at day care will even comment about how Harry goes to sleep pulling her hair. He loves to stoke my hair and rub on Chad's head. He is a fan of the hair dyer too!

  • Food Critic: He is very quick to spit out anything you give him to eat. He loves anything with sugar and all of you "Miss Healthys" out there who say "if you give your kids sugar of course he will only eat things with sugar" that bugs me, you tell me snacks at Wal-Mart that do not have sugar that are fast! Cereal bars, oatmeal packets, yogurt, fruit, get my drift! He does like a few vegetables but, Harry is not the best eater like he was with milk! I was given some Barnes and Noble gift cards this year and bought Deceptively Delicious and a Toddler's Menu cook book. I sure do hope it works out.

  • Leader: Harry walks to his own drum, at day care he doesn't follow other kids who finds what he wants to play with and goes straight to it. I sure do hope he stays this way, his mom and dad do there own thing quite often, maybe he will inherit this trait.

  • Doctor: Harry has been to the doctors office his fair share, and let me tell you, the kid loves a stethoscope!

  • House Cleaner: He enjoys watching us vacuum; he tries to get into the cleaning cabinet every chance he gets; he has always loved the Swifter(remember Mr. Clean); and his favorite toy is the talking broom he got for his birthday.
I am sure I will think of more later!

These were the only pictures I could get. He is showing his stuntman skills, see how he likes to stand on anything! We missed out on Memaw's house this weekend because Harry has bronchitis and just started his antibiotic. You can tell a bit how pitiful he looks! Poor Guy!

Kim, notice the toy in his right hand. He loves that thing!

What does Harry and a elephant have in common?

" BIG FEET"
He is struggling with this new concept of sneakers!
I think a boy's first time in Nikes may be some right of passage! We could call this a milestone. He has been in Puma shoes and Nike booties; but we are afraid that doesn't count! Thanks to Uncle Paul, Harry will never be out of cool shoes!
Harry is in a size 4 shoe! This is super annoying to his MOMMY! We have these adoreable shoes he has not been able to wear! This is not even all of the shoes he has grown out of! He does have 2 pairs of Nike Shox that he can wear, thanks to Paul! Although, he can not wear them to church, nor do they match all his gear! I should have had him in shoes more often; but it was hot, summer, and they were so uncomfortable!
YEAH for NIKES!
We are in "shox" that Harry is walking so much.

A Time of Celebration

We had a weekend of merriment and more unexpected milestones. Friday night Chad's sweet parents watched Harry while we went on a date and joined them at camp. I could do a whole post on how much we love church camp but, I will save that one for another day! Harry spent the entire day at Green Valley Bible Camp. Chad's dad worked out there all week and his family spends a lot of time there as well. Harry was in HEAVEN! He ate up the attention, other kids to watch, and of course getting close to nature! We enjoyed out time out there as well, we were inspired by Big Harry's insightful devo.

Saturday I had another day without Harry(not by choice, by chance). McCoy's baby shower. He was given some really neat gifts and lots of love! Mimi and I were so inspired we decided to go on a little shopping trip for Harry! Katie and I met up after the shower to do a little shopping and play with the Harry! I am not exaggerating, I wasn't expecting this, nor push this new milestone but, Harry took 3 steps with Katie! She let go and he took 3 steps to me! I had never tried! I was in pure shock! Harry's physical therapist sure is inspiring! Not only did Harry take 3 steps he climbed steps! Here is the proof! I do not keep up with those baby milestone books but, I once again was not expecting this one. Go Harry Go!

This is when we all got together at Kirk and Rachel's House! We did lots of visiting and catching up with the Fowlers, Millers, and special guests: Bullards! Harry was loving every minute. During one of his googoo ga ga songs, he may have said GiGi for Ginger(Rachel's mom)! He reached for Jerry, Rachel's dad! There was no doubt he is going to be super jealous when McCoy comes, Rachel and Kirk with another baby!!!!! We had a fine time, with friends, Tim's Pizza, and of course Harry's love for dogs!
