I Married Mr. Right

This post is a few days late! Chad and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary Friday!  We really celebrated last weekend but, it was officially Friday! We decided we would really be celebrating our anniversary in Mexico in August with some of our favorite friends who are always fun to celebrate with! The story starts with our worlds colliding shortly after I graduated college and he was still finishing up. We were engaged eight months after officially meeting and married eight months later.  I knew I had met Mr. Right and looking back I had no clue how perfect he really was for me! Our love for each other has grown and blossomed so much.  I couldn't imagine getting along with or enjoying anyone else's time more than I do with Chad! We took full advantage of that first year of marriage by spending a lot of time just enjoying each other. We didn't have a lot of friends in the area so, we did everything together and loved it!  One day shy of our first anniversary we were surprised by finding out we were going to have a baby!  Baby Harry came in December and meshed perfectly into our little family!Harry, Chad and I had so much fun together. We spent three years exposing Harry to everything we could! We did a lot of traveling and lots of time laughing at just him! He was the center of our world!  October 2009 came and so did Miss Georgia Kelley! Our five years have been busy!Although most of our time is spent doing this:.
We cherish every moment we have one on one!  We love reading, walking, traveling, going to the movies, and talking over quiet dinners! These times are not as often as we would like but, they are valued when they are.  We do not like to shop, do yard work, or budget together! We do them sometimes together but, it isn't very much fun to one or the other:) I had to put that in there!  I truly believe that a blessing is that God is with us! It is not all the stuff we have or things we get to do that other people don't! It is that God is with us!  God has blessed our marriage by showing us how growing closer to Him can strengthen a family. He has showed us that depending on him fiscally and emotionally will be rewarded.  He has also blessed us through hard times and I strongly believe that He will bless us through all the hard times that are to come.
I am so thankful for my Mr. Right! He is the most patient man I know and I LOVE to be with him all the time!  I wish this post could be longer but, I am lucky to even get to it now because we have been super busy and I don't know if it is "blessing" or not!

3rd Anniversary

The only recent picture I could find of us without Harry...well without Harry being the center of the picture...okay..without Harry looking at the camera.....the days of our lives!

The last 3 years have gone by so fast, we started our first year out with new jobs, new church, and a new community, then finding out we were going to to be parents only a year after being married, then marching right into becoming mom and dad during our 2nd year! It has been a ride but, a fun and great one. I could go on and on about how great of a guy he is and how there are no other men that would mesh with me as easily as my Chad. I can't thank God enough for giving me such a patient, loving, and understanding man as Chad.
God knew how compatible we would be when we met....opposites do attract! This is a late post...our anniversary was last Wednesday and we celebrated it last Saturday! Harry started throwing up on Wednesday night!
Chad left to Memphis for a guys golf trip on Thursday so, that is why I am so late my special posts! So, Happy Anniversary!

CHEERS

Happy Anniversary Chad

Our date is actual tomorrow on the 23rd.
3 years ago we were driving back and forth from Searcy to NWA to get any time we could with each other. Falling in love with you was and is so much fun! That was when you listened intensely to every word I said! I still laugh when I hear Delilah on the radio because I listened to it every very late Sunday night on my way home.
2 years ago we made the commitment in front of God and all of our loved ones we would spend our entire lives putting each other first. It was one of the 2 most wonderful days of my life.
1 year ago we found out God was going to bless our lives with a baby! The timing was unexpected; my mind was filled with mixed emotions, while you stood firm that it was a perfect thing! Of course it did not take me long to LOVE the idea of having a baby. We spent our anniversary weekend breaking the news to all of our loved ones, who were just as excited as were. Harry was the best anniversary gift; I doubt you can beat that this year!
Now we are a family of three. I could not have dreamed this plan up any better. I am constantly counting my blessings of having you and Harry. I feel so content knowing that you are the leader of my family. It sometimes seems surreal. In only 3 and ½ years we have developed this unconditional love and wonderful little family. I know it can only get better and grow more if we continue to put God first.

“Cheers, to another year of health, growing love, adoration and pleasant surprises!”

A special thank you to the Grand Ware’s for watching our little guy and giving us the gift cards that we used for our very first night out together since Harry was born.
