Harding Graduation and Mother's Day Weekend

Little Emily, Emmie, Em, M-Dog, Auntie Em, Emily graduated from my ole' stomping grounds on Saturday! Yes, she graduated with honors in Professional Sales, and will be job hunting in one year after getting her MBA. I am so proud of this girl, she is smart, a leader, fun to be around and best of all she is my sister!  I am dying for her to move here!  It was fun being there and seeing some of my teachers who I still keep in touch with and can I say we are colleagues now?  Now that I teach and supervise for the university, I would like to say I am. The ceremony was great, except I missed most of it because I took the kids to get their pictures taken and missed the speech from Dr. Ganus.  Chad stayed home to study for his test. Paul was with his kids too because, Tessa had tickets to Grease.  We managed:)Grandmother Georgia's freshman roommate was Chancellor Cliff Ganus's wife, Louise. They had lots of stories to tell!  They were so excited to see each other, it had been almost 70 years and they still had vivid memories. Harry and Georgia Kelley loved Dr. Ganus, especially Georgia Kelley. Harry really liked robe, we told him it was a super hero cape and he was sold. These three are so much fun!Grandmother Pat came too! Can you believe she is has seven great grandchildren?  She has never colored her hair either! There is another picture of her at the bottom that I can not get moved up here.Grandmother and Georgia Kelley got along very well the entire weekend. We spent the rest of the weekend at her house. It was so quiet and beautiful there.
I couldn't help but, take pictures of the kids on the front lawn. Dezi and Olivia helped me get them smiling. We spent Mother's Day in the car and them as soon as I got home I finished up paper work from my last class. I am taking a break for a couple of months!  I could go on and on about how much I love being a mom! I know we all love it, I never find bad moms who blog, if so, I am sure they get enough emails and comments from the busy body blogger moms to change:)I am so inspired by all the great moms who have surrounded me throughout life and the moms who I put my kids around too.  I am very choosy with who I leave my kids with. I still visit and love the women who watched Harry while I worked. Children need to interact with various people who love them. I always want my kids to have close relationships with their grandparents. It is vital to their development to have close relationships with people who have their best interests at heart. I am so thankful for my mom, Sandy, and all of our grandmothers for making such a huge impact in our kids lives. Not only have they passed on a strong Christian legacy but, also a love for people, serving, giving, and unconditional love.I hope that Georgia Kelley soaks in the Godly characteristics that her grandwomen have. Seven year old Dezi took this picture of me and my two kids who are so happy to be in my lap:)  I had to try.

The Great Outdoors

I have been making a lot of effort to spend time outside everyday with the kids. After being stuck in the house for so long with the cold weather, I have come to appreciate the outdoors.  I do not love being outside. I am turning over a new leaf! I have been reading some books on being am mom of boys. I thought I knew the whole boy thing until, I read the books!  I understand them so much better!Today, I told Harry we could go to the park but, I didn't want to drive to the Bella Vista one. He made it clear that it was the place we needed to go by saying, "Mom, they have turtles, cranes, bullfrogs, playground, sand, ducks, geese, and it is so pretty!"  He won! We went for out walk first and took a few pics on the way to the playground!Harry loves sticks, it is by far his favorite toy!Georgia Kelley just started sitting up on her own!Harry is either running or riding his bike here!  He got off his bike to potty.  Georgia Kelley is always up for a smile, even with a paci!Georgia Kelley loved getting her picture made with her brother! Harry...not so much.Look at the goose lings!  Geese, gooselings, and a crane!A fisherman on his cell! The few of many turtles we see!  It is amazing how much time we can spend out there on a good day!  What a great place to live!
