Harry's Early Birthday Present

I have been on the hunt for the perfect table and chairs for Harry! I had decided that I was going to get a unpainted one and either have a friend paint it or paint it myself with someone else painting a verse or something clever about creating on the top! That was until my mother in law and I found this adorable table at a craft fair! I am so excited about this table, the simple pleasures of new finds!

Harryisms at 22 Months

Harry is a very quirky wild toddler! He is so fun to be around and to not document his silliness would be a sin!

1. Harry loves to be outside! I read "Wild at Heart" and was totally prepared for a boys love for the outdoors but, man he can wear me out! He wants to be outside any free second! Playing football is something that Chad and I get asked to do multiple times each day! Football is by far his favorite thing to talk about. We had a wardrobe incident today! He refused to wear his guitar shirt and had to have his football sweater on, I talked him into wearing a basketball tee....so annoying!

2. If he is not asking us to play ball he is pushing a book in our face! He definitely had his favorites: Baby Bear Baby Bear, 10 Crawling Caterpillars,all Spot books and any book with animals in it! I am not complaining that my child loves books, but reading the same books for hours at a time can get old!

3. He is talking so much more and when he really wants to he will talk in sentences. He talks more at school than he does at home.

4. Harry gets super excited at a few of our friends houses. When we pull into the Matherlys or the Hick's houses he cheers! I crack up every time! I cheer when I see them too!

5. Shaggy has become a member of the family that has even made the mantle! The family photo on the mantle has Shaggy in it! Harry loves Shaggy more than anything or anyone else on the planet! We love Shaggy too!

6. Harry is not into TV but, he digs Sesame Street! Cookie Monster is his hero!

7. Chad is Harry's #1 person these days! Tackling and racing are there 2 games of choice! Harry will not let me just sit and watch him play football, I have to play too! I am sure Chad taught him this!

8. Harry pulls our faces toward him if we are not paying close attention to him!

9. Harry knows both of our parents houses and starts saying there names when we pull up. He cheers their names actually!

10. Harry is totally into animals but, skunks and lions are his favorites!

11. He loves school! He especially loves the babies and his friend Peyton. "Peypey" is super smart, he is actually the smartest kid I know! I hope he stays friends with Harry, I tell his parents that he will be tutoring Harry in kindergarten! Ms. Paulette is his second favorite women next to his mama! He loves her so much, I don't know what we would do if he didn't have her there! She pets him and I know it is because I had her daughter and they go to our church! Either way, we love that!

12. Harry is mostly proud of his granddads! I feel bad for the grandmothers but, right now Bobo and Papa are getting all of his attention!

13. Harry loves art. His teacher tells me all the time how much he enjoys and understands the art projects they do! We have a huge pile of art projects Harry did! We really enjoyed our craft we did with our buddies after school last week. Harry wore his to school. I will get a picture soon!

Talk About Annoying

My happy Harry decides that when he is with his parents for a photo shoot he WILL NOT smile! He was much more interested in getting in the water!

Harding Homecoming

We had a fabulous time! We were able to visit with friends and family and Harry was able to catch a few Harry activities! Harding hosted a family event that had a petting zoo and pony rides! That was only part of it!
We got the chance of seeing the Pied Pipers; they are kind of like a watered down version of the Wiggles. Harry loved it; I remember then at school but, I really appreciate them now! Hannah hung out with us too! What a bonus!
I have had to bum pictures because I forgot the disc to my camera. We didn't get any pictures at the game. Emily may have a few I can grab later! The game was my favorite part! I was enjoying visiting with friends from college! After church we went to the front lawn for pictures! Harry does not pose for pictures, his cheese smile is fake! He enjoyed the front lawn!

Chasing the squirrels was a big event for Harry! After they ran up a tree we got this expression and a "Where did they go?"!

We were lucky enough to have Annie to visit with and stay with! Harry loved Annie, she read him tons of books and got on the floor and played ball! She knew how to win Harry's love!

Go Tigers

Harry and Co. have spent the last 4 Friday nights out watching the Bentonville Tigers dominate their competition! They are # 1 in state right now! Go TIGERS!
Harry, suprisingly, has been perfect through every game: beginning to end! He LOVES every aspect of the game, the band may be his favorite! I have always been a fan of the percussion kids! I have a few students who go to the games too and are Harry's best buds there! They could be a big part of keeping Harry so entertained! It is really sweet how much attention they give him! I am impressed with how polite these boys are; they are so good with him!
Harry loves to clap and stand up and watch the big plays! Harry cheers "GO GO ROAR"!

Carrying Burdens, New Friends, and Poopo on the Potty

There was a man, named Malcolm. He had 2 beautiful daughters, Kathrine and Emma; a wife who everyone admired and was constantly doting on all of them. He would come each lunch at school with both of his daughters weekly, pick them up from school, he even walked his oldest child to kindergarten every day to make sure she was okay. He was a cowboy, and good at it! He was playful and adored his family and his friends. He loved Harry. He teased Harry in church 2 weeks ago, he was a very good man. He came to every event his girls were at, had a passion for christian education and the Morrilton Children's Shelter. He would do anything for his friends, even if it meant sacrifice. This man, Malcolm Forrest Howell, died last Saturday. The world was impacted by his goodness, by the overwhelming amount of Christ that flew out of him. He leaves, a widow, a 12 year old, a 8 year old and adoring family and friends. I would say I was close acquaintance with Malcolm and a friend to his 3 girls. He was at my school with his daughter often, and he gave Harry a lot of love at church. I am morning, not because he died, not because it hit home, but because my friends are devastated. They had a husband and father that could stand up against any all star parent and have lost him at the prime age of 43. He was killed in a car accident in OK the day before his 17th anniversary with his wife. She had already bought and written in the card. The story is heart breaking and awfully sad. I can not tell you enough how sad I have been for the Howell and Carter family. I truly understand the meaning of "carry one another's burdens".
I have also seen that with my friends who have been worried about my "over doing it"! What a blessing to have friends who pray for you and encourage you to become closer to your Father. That is another example of carrying others burdens.

I made new friends 2 days ago! My neighbors, are from Columbia, actually Miami! She is a woman lives with her mother and son of 7. Her husband is trying to sell their home in Miami, they are absolutely wonderful! Edilma(the grandmother) is so good with Harry. She plays with him and has offered to clean my house in exchange for tutoring Daniel(3rd grader). Harry and I had dinner with them tonight, I was inspired by their stories. I have never wanted to speak Spanish so bad! They are very educated and just plain precious! I feel silly for never pursing this friendship before! I was blessed this week by Ruth, Daniel, and Edlima.

On another note, Harry pooped and peed on the potty! He has been fascinated with the potty, it must be a thing at school he is seeing. Whatever, but I am not going hard core potty training until I know it will be a quick transition....I am totally cool with diapers!
Harry is loving school, more than ever! He is talking like crazy and the paci is becoming a thing of the past...okay, not completly but they don't give it to him! Today I heard him say "Bye bye Grace" then blew a kiss!

What Can I Say?

I will start by saying that this family has not had one night at home in the last 3 weeks. I know that we are to blame, how do you just stop? Everything we do is fun or contructive, but it can wear on you. This first picture says a lot!I have a few shots of just a few things we have been up to! Olivia's birthday party, how did we not get more shots of the Birthday Princess?

The fair came to town! It was a highlight. I am kicking myself for not taking the time to get him "cowboyed up"! I promise to have my cowboy ready for next year's live stock show!

We left in just enough time to miss the rain!

Go Tigers! First home game...we were scared off by the rain...but they won! Harry was in awe! He loved every single second! He growled at the tiger every time he danced by!
