Harry Milestone

No TRAINING WHEELS!  Harry has been begging Chad to take his training wheels off and Chad finally did Tuesday night! I was too busy talking to my neighbor friends to really pay attention. I thought it would take a good week for him to get going....I was wrong! He was out there for maybe 30 minutes and he was on the road by himself!  I was so shocked I didn't even get pictures! We have lots of videos!  He is a natural! We spent all afternoon Wednesday at the park letting him get more practice in!  He is a natural and probably mostly because he was self motivated. Yes, we make him wear a helmet:)

Trains, Carousels, and Cousins...oh and Animals

We went to the zoo on Saturday and hat a fantastic sweaty time!  We really enjoyed the cousins joining us!
The elephants were the big show on this day and our kids couldn't handle the heat!  GK wanted to be held by Amy!  Super sweet!  You won't see many pictures of animals because, I just didn't take any!  A lot of the big animals were hidden in their "caves" because of the heat!

These four love each other!  I guess that is the joys of having cousins close in age.  Cousins make everything more fun!
I feel a big weird about this picture of these statues because they resemble false gods and idols! This is the attempt to have them sit like them.  Brooklyn was not liking it...I don't blame her, they were probably false idols!

 Her fish face!
Our favorite part of the day was our visit with the chimpanzees!  This one put on a show for us!  He was playing with our poop and Harry thought it was hilarious!  GK was rolling at this monkey!

Georgia Kelley also loved the train and carousel!

The kids loved and we all slept well on Saturday night!

Harryisms

Harry loves his figurines!  They are his favorite things to play it!  I laugh at how Harry has well thought out plan of action for his little men and their purpose!

It made me laugh to see King Saul and another random Bible figure int with all the superheroes!
David on the front line!  Goliath is on the other side with the rest of the bad guys!

We had this big box like thing from our new cable unit and we turned it into an obstacle course for cars.  Inspired by Cars 2!
Georgia Kelley went around shooting us during all this! I guess that is what happens when you live with a big brother.
We started gathering all the stuff Harry wanted for his course. Harry calls his junk his treasure.  His treasure was used in this course!

It got very very detailed!  He is building a tower the cars must knock down!

They were timed at the end!  Notice the wrist band/ring of fire!

There were so many details and Harry could tell you why each piece and person was placed where they were! It was near impossible to get through but, McQueen did it! I had him tell me again what each person did, I wrote some of them down!

A few things Harry has said lately that makes me smile or laugh.
  • In the car the other day he told me that God made turtles for me.  He knows I love turtles and I look at them when we past the pond in our neighborhood.
  • He has been learning new concepts and today he said, "Mom, I feel sorry for someone today. I felt sorry for Jacoby's brother because he hurt eyebrow. I also feel sorry for widows." I was so happy about this then he said, "I hope they can get husbands and grandpas."   His perception is that all widows are grandmothers!  It made me laugh!
  • I asked Chad the other day what all the ingredients were that Elijah and the widow had to make bread.  Chad couldn't answer and Harry yelled "I know, bread, oil, and flour!"  He was right!
  • He sleeps with this trophy my friend Amy gave him and his dad's medals from sports in his past.  He also likes to sleep with Shaggy and a ridiculous amount of "weapons"! It could be a post on its own!
  • When Chad comes home and changes into lounge clothes(usually workout shorts and a t-shirt); Harry changes into the same color shorts and t-shirt!

Week Iphone HIghlights!

Friday breakfast at The Station!
 Santa in August!
Ready for the Dixie Stampede!  LOVE THAT PLACE!

Georgia Kelley was working the table!

Her little friend Emma Grace is joining her in dance class ,she was there to try it out!
She insisted on holding Harry's sign for a pic!
We were blessed with an amazing dinner at my friend Kathy's house!  She and I have Bible studies quite often and it is turning into a couples study! Chad and I appreciate how they they have such a wholistic approach to the Bible and it isn't all about "What this scripture means to me"! I know those are great studies too but, I love knowing what it means in context and how it connects to other parts of the Bible.  Chad and I are enjoying it!

The next Friday stroll!  We had to improvise!
We walked into a friend from Harry's class!
 Breakfast again!  YUMMO!
