Not much to post on this countdown week. Chad and I have all the hostess gifts ordered, labels created, announcement list typed up, cute stamps bought, registry finished and 25 meals frozen(lots of help from Rachel). My friend Rachel and I spent all day Saturday chatting and cooking, it was so fun, her mom gave us 2 super easy recipes for enchiladas and lasagna! We also cooked white chili and poppy seed chicken. We plan on making it a ritual, it is so much more fun with a friend. Chad and I did a lot more of the meals and have around a 100 drops of Cowboy cookie dough frozen. Chad's parents were so kind to let us use their freezer for a majority of it. We are going to just start cooking double of the meals we normally cook.
Chad keeps reminding me that I should post pictures, so I will work on that! Keep Harry in your prayers he has been pushing all over my belly...he is obviously ready to get his picture posted on our blog!

I can't believe you're in the single digits already! 9 short weeks till Harry's here!! I am so impressed about the 25 meals. I really thought that was just an ambitious goal that probably wouldn't get met, but you actually did more! If that's not nesting, I don't know what is! You'd better save me some frozen Cowboy cookie dough balls for when I get there!!
can you please just tell me how you cooked 25 meals! i just still cannot get away from that fact! furthermore, what the heck did you cook? i am more than impressed! ps>looooved that website you sent me--already ordered from it!
Lauren, I thought it may be to much, but is so easy to just whip up 2 of the same thing! The cookie dough was fun, I am sure more dough will be made, Chad and I love those cookies! I will make you as many as you want if you will come visit!
Nikki, I will email you the recipes, I am telling you, find a friend and spend a day doing it. Get quality meat and it is so much cheaper to buy in bulk and split with a friend! I will email you some easy recipes, the most annoying part is standing on your feet. Glad you liked the website, she is so super cheap!
WOW - I mean.... WOW!!! I'm very impressed with your nesting phase...your's seems to be much more effective than mine was! If I had attempted to cook 25 meals when I was in my 3rd trimester...less than half would have made it to the freezer cause' I'd have ended up eating most of it while I cooked! You go girl! You're gonna be one prepared momma!
Wow! I'm impressed! Email me those recipes too please!
what fun?! i would LOVE to spend a whole day cooking with a friend! i'm so excited that you will not have to worry about what to cook or eat for the next 10 years! ha! nice work!
Good job, girly! You'll be bored once Harrison comes with everything out of the way! Just kidding-you'll have more time to rest (like you'll do that!) and stare at his sweet face.
Suz and Nic,
Y'all are close enough to me that we could cook together! I think that's a wonderful idea, Amanda!
You should all find a friend and do that, so much money and time saved! It is such a brillant concept! It is kind of funny I got the idea from a friend who got the idea from Daniel Cherry's mom! RANDOM! I am very doubtful I will be bored when Harry comes, it will be Christmas time!
