Santa Baby

Santa Baby had a wonderful first Christmas! He did not do as well in new surroundings and strange faces but, before long he will be terrorizing those homes and loving on those new faces!
Harry is a great eater and a great sleeper but, we are struggling with getting them at the right times.
After a night of constant "snacking" Harry's mom woke up determined to get a 10 day old baby on a routine. So far so good, his mom introduced the pacifer today despite what the "books" and "people" say and it worked for this little guy. His mom has been calling different moms constantly getting advice and they have been so supportive to her and eager to help in any way. Let's hope Harry sleeps and eats better tonight because if he doesn't his mom may lose it. Harry's parents still have their "get out of jail free" passes for a few more days and it may be stretched to weeks....or even until the 2nd child! Harry wishes all of you Happy Holidays!

I've missed your blog since we've been at Callaway - it's SO good to see Harry's face again! He's SO good looking! And trust me, it could get worse before it gets better...sorry,...I know that sounded pessimistic. It's true though - the sleep typically around 2 weeks gets to be really rough and unless you're REALLY fortunate...that's how it can be for up to 2-3 months! Augh!!! I'll pray you're fortunate and that Harry will sleep really well for you tonight and for the next few months! :) (It's a good thing you have those "get out of jail free cards just in case though!)

I'm glad the paci went well! Pacis are lifesavers to us! Don't worry about a timeline for yourself, just relax and keep doing the WONDERFUL job that you're doing! I love seeing you in this role. You're such a sweet, loving mommy. Lindsey's right...the sleep is going to get worse, but the good thing is you'll get sorta used to it. Then, one day, Harry won't need you in the middle of the night anymore, and you'll ache inside a little! It's funny how that happens! He looks SO precious in his little outfit!
