I have learned that there are no joys like the joy of being a proud parent. Harry brings pride to my life all the time even when he is throwing a fit, not sharing, mad at the world because he didn't get the right sippy cup...you get the gist!
I am crazy about this child just like every other parent. I was proud when he showed off his first smile, sang "Jesus Loves Me", told me he loved me, gave me kisses etc..
Saturday marks one of my most proud moments as a novice parent! Chad, Harry, and I went to Barnes and Noble with some friends and their children on Saturday night. While we were there we ran into two other families that we are friends with and they both have two year olds as well! Harry was having a blast at the train table with all of his buddies! A child walked to the table and was a bit intimidated by the fellowshop that was going on with Harry! Harry took a train, handed it to the child and pointed to the table, motioning for him to join in the fun with the train set.
Harry obviously did not want that little boy to feel left out....I wonder who he got that quality from! I have an obsession with not wanting people to feel left out...that is how all of our get togethers get so big!
He may not share, but he knows how to make a kid feel special!
I am swelled up with pride!
The more I thought about it the more I realized that he has said he loves Jesus, Jesus loves him, and prays all the time, but the action of showing love is what really matters...right? Talk is cheap and I am hopeful he can build on this lesson and keep showing love!
