Praises and Praying God's Word

I wanted to post my prayer for my children! I know everyone has their own family verses and prayers but, this is mine for my children!  I pray it everyday and I actually wrote it on paper and stuck it on the fridge for Chad and I to pray when we see it! It is based off of Phillipians 1:4f! I started praying God's word after I read "Praying God's Word" by Beth Moore in college! It has been really good for me!  Phillipians is a great book to pray over your family or your ministry! I have started praying this book over the women at my Bible study too.

And this is my prayer: that Goergia Kelley and Harry's  love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that they may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

Praise:
I am really excited about what God has in store for the women in our area! After a good talk with my sister in law, Amy Ware, we decided what a great idea it would be to unify the women at all of our local Church of Christ congregations.  Chad and I attend Bentonville and she and my in-laws attend Robinson/Springdale.  That one little thought got the ball rolling! We have talked to other congregations and they are all on board! From Fayetteville-Bella Vista!  We are meeting with one liaison from each church to schedule dates and iron out details!  We ar so excited about what God has in store! The idea is to have a "girls night out" where we worship/praise and then fellowship together!   The women at our church are so excited about the opportunity to encourage and bond with other fellow Christian women! We are hopeful this wil spread beyond our congregations and into the community but, we are taking small steps now!

Another praise! A friend of mine sent a message out to a bunch of girls who were at HU at the same time, we were all in the same club or sister club and we all live in the same area!  We are having dinner together Thursday night and I am thrilled to reconnect to these ladies who I have such fond memories of!  Some of them are older than me but our paths have crossed and it will be so comfortable to be around them. It is just what the doctor ordered!

Some weeks are so busy and then I have weeks like this that are very low key.  I think I lean more to busy weeks! I am sure their is a healthy balance!   I can promise that when I was working full time I wanted more low key weeks!  I also admit that I am in his Word more on weeks that events are not happening!

Getting together with the girls is so important and rejuvenating! So glad you're getting the chance! Thank you for sharing your prayer for your children. Think I may put that same verse on the fridge as well. Keep shining God's face!
