Brooklyn Comes to Visit Harry

Brooklyn came to visit and we had a grand time!

I showed her how to work all my toys.I just couldn't quite figure this girl out, she sings a lot louder than I do.
I don't know whether to be afraid of her singing...

or to laugh and sing along.....

We traded toys and talked to each other for a very long time. I like this chick, I can't wait until we can play together again.

Mom's Side of the Story
I have to note our great adventure of the day. Brooklyn, Harry, and I went to the mall to see Holly and her kids get their pictures taken. I put them in Mimi's double stroller, Harry behind Brooklyn, after about 5 minutes Harry started leaning up and pulling Brooklyn's hair! Brooklyn did not seem to mind, she was pretty much PERFECT the entire time, she loves hanging out with her Aunt Amanda. I switched them for Brooklyn's sake! Both babies slept all the way home, Brooklyn woke up first and after her bottle was just too tired to sleep, with all of the fun she had not taken a nap all day and it was near 2pm. Harry woke up not happy that I would not go get him immediately. I laid Brook in Harry's bed, got Harry, sat him down in front of his toys(happy), brought Brooklyn back in the living room and she started SCREAMING. I could not figure it out, Harry started SCREAMING and I started laughing. I tried to take a picture but the batteries were dead. Brooklyn would stop crying and I would try to sit her down and calm Harry then Harry would stop, then Brook would start and this cycle continued for about 10 minutes. I finally got some Mum Mums and took them both outside. Harry immediately cheered up in the grass and Brooklyn loved her some Mum Mums! It was so funny because Harry did not like her crying. I have never heard Brooklyn cry like that, she is the most content sweet baby doll! It was only because she was tired, poor thing. After that little fiasco, all was great. I got batteries in the camera and we played! Amy came way too early, we were having so much fun! We want Brooklyn to come back soon!

I am Seeing a Personality Folks!

Harry has spent a lot of time with other babies in the past but, not in huge groups since he has become so actively mobile! It brought a huge peace to me watching him interact and in awe of all the other babies. He was the youngest in the mass chaos except for his little friend Taylor, who stayed close to her mommy. There were about 30 kiddos in the lot that our life group babysat on Saturday night and Harry soaked up everyone of them! We started off in the gym and he went full blast crawling all over the place, he would chase balls the whole time if we let him. He spent the last half of the night in a room crowded with 3 and under kids. Even though he was the youngest he held his ground. It is no surprise that toys and seats were taken from him, but I guess that is just how it goes! I do not think he will have any trouble at his child care this fall, if anything he will love the social interaction. He is definitely an extrovert. Captain Harry
Notice all of the goldfish everywhere! Those things dried tears quick! We vacuumed probably a thousand crushed goldfish. Harry wasn't afraid to join in on the phenomenon.
Harry has gotten where he gets so excited about different things. He gets giddy about certain people and things. He gets excited about grandparents, making the bed, baths, playing in the grass, the swimming pool, and chasing balls. There is video of him getting excited about a soccer ball. I think it is a toy he can't control, so it fascinates him.
He has also been doing a lot of dancing, it started when he began pulling up. He shakes his hips and bounces his knees. He loves to do it in church over the pew. He will sing at the same time a "Goo Goo Ga Ga" song. Look out BROADWAY!
Since he has started crawling he is very cuddly! We are LOVING it! I figure it is because he would get so frustrated he couldn't get to something that he did not feel content just sitting in our arms.
Chad and I are excited about our new find. I decided to not buy baby food and just make my own. I was buying organic, mashing my own bananas, and feeding him the DHA baby foods. It took Chad and I about 2 1/2 hours to cook and freeze about a month's worth of vegetables. It is fresher, has zero preservatives, cheaper(I am talking at least $50 a month cheaper), and in my personal opinion; easy! Email me if you would like to know how to do it, I got most of my info from a friend and a book she let me borrow. It has lists of foods a baby can and can not eat and at what times. Email me if you have recipes with meat in them, we aren't introducing meat until 9 months, but I would love to know any recipes you other moms have!

We Get Around

Harry and I have had a very eventful past couple of days! I decided to take his 7 month pictures in a beautiful park in our town and he was more interested in eating the park than posing in it.

Harry and I took a little trip without Daddy(he had to work), we sure did miss him but, managed to have a good time anyway.

Bo Bo's office was a great place to find yummy toys! Olivia has officially called Dad Bo Bo! It was going to be Grandbo or Granddaddy but Olivia calls the shots! Harry sat so well in his lap all through church!

Mrs. Lola is a family friend who we just adore, we were able to visit with her and listen to sweet stories about here and her late husband, they were married for 68 years!! Dezi was so excited to see us even though she, was very worried about Chad not being there. Chad talked to her on the phone to ease her troubles.
We loved playing with Caroline and Olivia! Caroline and Harry played so well together! Olivia is one big HOOT! I wish we could see them every day!

Emily is so good to Harry, she absolutely adores him! We had fun eating and hanging out with her!

I really wanted to take the opportunity to visit my Dean grandparents because, Harry has had to share them with all of his cousins when we visit! He loved their house. Grandmother had him giggling like crazy! They are so sweet to him. I love it when she compares Harry to how my dad was when he was a baby.

We came home this afternoon and Mimi and Papa came to give Harry some loving! I have said this many times before but, I ADORE Chad's parents. They are so good to us. Not very many in-laws will bring you Market Place for supper just to get time with your child! Harry had not seen them in a week and a half (longest he has ever gone)! He showed them how well he has mastered his new milestones. He also showed them how he does this silly face when he gets excited and the most pitiful face when he is a bit unsure of what is going on! They gave him plenty of attention and got some laughs.

I had so many pictures in the last 2 days it was easier to put them on a video. I was going to play "Watermelon Crawl" for all of Harry's crawling shots, but the lyrics just didn't match!

Good Bye Potter

I just finished the last book in the best series ever written. I am one of those fans who truly thinks JK Rowling is a GENIUS! I still do, all the way to the end. I am so sad that I don't have another book to look forward too. I guess I can just be excited about the movie, although they are always a let down. I can't wait to talk about it, one good thing about going back to school. Dad, FINISH IT, I am dying to hear another fan's opinion!!

CAUTION: OVERSIZE LOAD

I bought this little dump truck(made to carry blocks) at a garage sale and he has been trying to climb in it all day. Chad finally put him it and "drove" him around! He would not bend his knees and sit! He cried when Chad took him out! The second time he got in it, he fell forward! Harry is extremely accident prone(totally took after his mama). He has fallen off our bed, bumped his head probably a dozen times, smashed his finger, bumped his eye and even got his foot tangled in his bouncer! All of these accidents have happened since he turned 6 months. We know it is a "bad" injury when he pauses and then screams, taking him outside stops the crying instantly. The day he keeps crying when we walk outside, will be the day we go to the hospital. I am just hoping that he becomes a little more cautious before exploring new territory or discovery new "toys"!

Side Note:
BH(Before Harry) I would confidently comment that I would NEVER let my baby walk around in a diaper, for anyone or any picture! These are not the only words I have eaten since I have become a mom and I doubt they will be the last!

Lucky Number 7

Harry turned 7 months old on Monday! I do not think we were ready for him to become SO active so soon! This baby is all over the place! Think of a preposition and he has been there at some point this week! Chad went to Orlando on business Tuesday morning and Harry and I have been having a big party. We went to bed late, slept in late, took long naps, didn't put up our toys and made huge messes with our food! My folks came to the rescue on Thursday night. The visit was short but, not too short for Harry to show off all of his new tricks. He was more than excited to see how proud Daddy would be when he got home tonight! He is so proud of himself!
Harry thinks Bella is very funny.
Look at me Bella, one handed!
I love to be tickled by GrandBo!
Climbing into my bouncer is the trick that has put me in the most spots where I can not get out! I shall not give up!!
This is Harry's new found favorite trick, pulling up on his crib and waiting for someone to come "save" him! He did this for the first time on Tuesday during his nap.
Pulling out new toys!

He can now get into those baskets of goodies! Go Harry Go!
I also have to mention that he started going from crawling to sitting up on his own this week!

Pulling Up and Rocking Out

Harry has been climbing on us and on pillows and such but, tonight he pulled himself up on the guitar! Looks like Harry is taking after his Daddy and "pulls" toward the acoustical sounds!
They sure do make great music together, Harry is teaching Chad a few new chords.

Harry's Favorite Things at 6 Months

After Harry's good friend's Keaton and Elliot's Mom gave him a Mum Mum it has been history ever since. These things disolve quickly and are not that messy. Way to go Melissa....great find!
Can I tell you this is our family's favorite new video! I had heard about them but, Kim P
encouraged me to buy them! This is the same concept as Baby Einstien, but, with Christian music and the pictures are just precious! My parent's took it with them with they were with Harry and they ended up buying the whole set as well! We play it in our house even if we are not watching it!
Charlie's mom gave him these super cool rubber ducky's that blink in the water! He can put part of them in his mouth and loves fishing for them. She said she got them in a little box above the candy bars at the grocery story. Great find Marshawn!

Bottoms Up

"Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed" 1 Corinthians 15:51

This pretty much sums up diaper changes, needless to say, I change diapers upside down!

I got the verse idea from www.pumpkindoodle .com

We knew Harry loved Kirk and Rachel, but who would have thought that their DOG would get all the kisses!

Harry goes to visit McCoy! Tonight we made a trip to Kirk and Rachels house! Harry adores Kirk, I think he wanted one of the good steaks that Kirk grilled up. We always love getting to visit with Chad's best friend since the 4th grade and his wife Rachel. They are so close to us, we wish they didn't live so far away, well I guess 25 minutes is to us is just too far!
Harry really wanted to give Baby McCoy some loving! He wants him to give him some real big kisses in 13 weeks! Rachel is all belly and glowing! McCoy's nursery may be the CUTEST nursery I have ever seen. Can't wait until it is finished.

Now for the unexpected! Sophie, the Miller's dog, is one of the SWEETEST dogs we know. Sophie was Charlie's best friend and super good with kids. Harry was obsessed with watching him. Harry would just laugh out loud when Sophie got close to him. He road on Sophie's back and laughed the whole time. Looks like Harry is a dog person! I promise he is smiling and chuckling in all of the following pictures!

Harry may love dogs, but he will not be getting one in the near future. McCoy's dog will have to do!
I took these pictures while we were waiting for Kirk's always YUMMY steaks. I thought they were sweet.

Harry's First Fourth

We have a little Yankee Doodle Dandy! Harry was in our neighborhood parade and LOVED it! His Mimi and Papa came to be devoted spectators!
Ain't life grand! Will, Harry's neighbor friend gave him a sucker. We have the best neighbors, when we move we will surely miss them!
Harry LOVED Papa's cap, or was he laughing at Mimi????
Harry loved his "float"

We also got to attend Emma Grace's 3rd birthday party! We enjoyed celebrating Emma's birthday and Independence Day with our good friends from church. As you can see their are a lot of babies in the group! The big boy on the end, Baby Jake, well we call him Harry's bodyguard! Harry loved the fireworks Todd shot off, he fell asleep right before the big show in town. Maybe next year he will all be awake to watch!

What a great time to be reminded of what a great country we live in. We are so blessed to have men and women fighting for our freedom and the freedom of our babies!

Jake, Keaton, Elliot, Harry, Lindsey; we are missing Easton; and Eli will be here soon!
