Eggcellent

We headed down to Bobo and Coco's for Easter festivities!  We love to dye eggs together!
She thinks she is a big girl helping with eggs!

I wish I knew what Harry was so in awe of!

 Pure Preciousness!

So I kind of feel like the Little Red Hen here! I asked all the kids to help me make this Peep Casserole! I stole the idea from my friend Amy!  The kids would NOT help...they wanted to play!  It is one pan full of pure sugar goodness!  They happily helped eat it!
GK was on the verge of dying her shirt!
Oh the joys of having sisters!

Bobo is such a good sport! Paul was in this position earlier!
 Easter Bunny hopped over!
I must say Grandmother and Granddad hosted a Grandtime! After service we went to the grands and had a good ole' southern meal! My aunt, Breta can get her cook on!  Her food always amazes me!
Because of rain, we hid a zillion eggs in the house for 13 eager hunters!

Five minutes of mass chaos took over the house! Good thing they have big house!

Grandmother had a "prize room" well her room had probably 50 fun toys for the kids to pick through! They got to go one at a time and get three gifts in all!  Such a bonus, they loved shopping!
 Waiting to go in!

It was a great day with family! We ended up going back to mom and dad's house to rest because the rain was out of control!
I wanted to post on how wonderful this week has been to reflect on Jesus resurrection but,s, it seems like all the eggs over powered it.  Harry can tell me the story but, he would rather talk about eggs, candy and toys! I am going to start looking for more ideas on how to make this week more focused on Jesus.

Hunt and Fail

I am sure we are in the majority when it comes to the many Easter egg hunts we have the week before Easter! It is crazy!  I am not even counting the ones Harry makes me have in the house!  I am so over eggs!  I took pics of the ones at church from last Sunday!  It was a great party the teachers put on and my kids loved it!

This outfits were from Mimi from last year!  I took the opportunity to replay since they fit!
Georgia Kelley was into the ball chasing!

Harry has chosen to use this basket this year because it is "bigger"! He does not care that it is a girl one!

Oh I love Ms. Madeline and so does Georgia Kelley!
 Craft time!
So my fail part! My friend told me about all the resurrection foods you could do with your kids.  Since we were limited on time, I decided to do the rolls and it didn't go so well!   You are suppose to talk  about how the marshmallows are Jesus and you wrap him in the tomb (croissants).  You dip in him butter and sugar first.  I didn't think it would be a big deal to use colored bunny marshmallows and you know I am not a perfectionist and sealing the dough around the marshmallow was not that important to me either!  The kids LOVED it!

The idea is you open the croissants and they are hollow..well ours were but, Harry yells, "Mom, Jesus melted and his blood is every where!"   He refused to eat them and I didn't even try to make a lesson out of this!  Seriously....next time I will read the directions!

ZooZoo

Boy am I glad we planned to go to the Walton Arts Center for their kid's show the day of Easter Eve!! The rain was heavy!! We made it a family affair although we missed or cousins who went to their other grands for the holiday. We love the Wares!!! They are always up for a good family friendly time!!

The show was so cute, full of people dressed up as animals. The kids were fixated on it!! Georgia Kelley held onto her daddy the first half of the show!

Georgia Kelley thought she would yell with the kids when those penguins didn't know how to play musical chairs! She is a hoot!!

I hate Gks face here but the rest look good!!

We ended with a great Greek lunch on Dickson!! It wasn't very Eastery but oh so fun!!- Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Iphone Catch Up

First Friday on the Sq for April! I know I talk about my town a lot but, they do the most fun stuff!  Harry and Georgia Kelley loved all the crafts and activities they had!
We went with our neighbors to the grand opening of Crazy 8 and guess who won a gift card!  I never win things...
I made this Candy Shop pizza way too many times for too many occasions! My friend Amy made it first and I fell off the sugar wagon with this!
You know we love our walks in the park! Harry found a caterpillar!  He was showing it to Georgia Kelley!
I had a lunch with one of my friends from when I was in 7th grade!  Our lives took completely different roads and it is just crazy we are now living in the same town and neighborhood!  She brought this pic of us to lunch! Cracked me up!  I am so proud of her as a mom and hard worker!
Georgia Kelley and Harry love when we hang with the Faubus clan! The guys play ball and the girls get to ride!  So fun!
I decided the other day we would walk to Sonic and get ice cream! I have to say that is one thing I love about our house....a walk away from Sonic! The kids loved it!

We love it when the McMahan's come over to play in the yard!
Sandy took Harry and Brooklyn to see Hop!  It was a hit!  She said they were dancing through the whole movie!!
Harry has "homework" every night on the Ipad! He takes it very seriously!  Talk about motivating!  I can't wait to use it it in my Emergent Literacy class!

Em brought her boyfriend to stay the night with us last week! We all love him!  John is great for Emily
