Rainbow Camp Prep

This post is in three parts! It is spring break and time for a sleep over with af ew of our buddies!  We invited three of our friends that we spend the most time with during the week! I will say our best buddy Jake couldn't come because he was hanging out with Mickey Mouse in CA! We missed him so much and promise to have a special sleep over just for him!  You know I have this huge love for kids and making memories with mine and others. Well I decided I needed to make another memory for our little pals and I have to say it was a success!   Harry and I had a blast prepping for this! We went with a Rainbow theme since Harry loves rainbows and it is spring time!  We invited Lindsey, Layla, and our newest buddy Maddox!  They are all three easy and I knew they would all appreciate the effort I went to...so sad I need approval of four year olds! HA!  Harry and I made rainbow cupcakes!  They took a little effort but turned out beautifully! I have got to admit I am not a big fan of all the processed junk but, they make such great rainbow food!

 Must take the batter into six parts and mix colors to make them rich into containers and then layer them in the cupcake pan! I hunted for a silicone cupcake pan but couldn't find one to borrow!  The wrappers worked just fine!

 Had to set the stage with the sidewalk! Our yard is horrific! Weeds have taken over and we haven't taken a second to make it pretty!  I wish I cared!

You will see in the next post, the agenda didn't go as planned! But we had a colorful time! My goal was for them to learn the purpose of a rainbow, the color order of the rainbow (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink) and how to mix the primary colors to make secondary colors!
