I only thought I was doing well! Today was bad! I was tempted and almost gave in to one of my student's Splenda chocolate chip cookies! I will be baking those as soon as this six weeks are over! I had them do a 3D project and they brought, cookies, chocolate trifle, and bakery cupcakes! OH DEAR! It was HARD! Then after class we went to a party where they had Rick's cake! They also had a candy bar...that I helped with! I have never in my entire life handled M&Ms and not snuck a few! It was TOUGH! I have never turned down homemade chocolate chip cookies or Rick's chocolate cake! Today was an accomplishment! Why am I doing this again?
Today was the last day to teach my Emergent Literacy class and I have to mention that I had students who cried because it was over. It is one of those classes that for someone who doesn't know the topic it is revelation! I loved this group and joined them with tears. I will miss them dearly but, feel so confident that they will be blessings to our little ones in school!
I can't wait til next fall to teach it again!
Just some random talk during cat naps before we hit dinner with some friends we LOVE!
